Excellent food for a bar at better than average pricing. I go here for lunch a few times a month for almost 4 years now. Great service. I like the coziness and real down to earth feel of this place.

Smoky but nice! Reasonable price.

Saying it's the best bar in Squirrel Hill isn't saying very much because there are only three bars in Squirrel Hill. I frequented the Cage (by which this bar is more commonly known) because I lived nearby, but I knew of folks coming in from all parts of Pittsburgh to suck down a dark beer, maybe get a burger, and schmooze with Billy. Yes, it's a smoking establishment. Even if you don't smoke, I think it gives it the nitty-gritty feel that so many bars either fail to emulate or shun entirely. The Cage is one of those down-to-earth establishments, and it attracts real people from all corners of Pittsburgh.

amazing prices for non-craft beer (6.50 for a pbr pitcher. yes please) good divery feel, great food, also at low prices. best bar in pittsburgh.
