We are Marriott Platinum Elite members and this hotel was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. We were driving from Boston to Marriott's OceanWatch Villas in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, when we found out that the health of my husband's 104-year-old aunt in Tampa was failing. So we had to change plans to drop him off at the Philly airport to fly out to see her in Tampa the next day. Had we not arrived late at night with the need for the airport close by for a 6AM flight, we would NEVER have stayed here after discovering the condition of the room in this hotel. And we will NEVER stay here again. The room was filthy. 1)We entered from the parking lot attached to the rear of the hotel. Perhaps the front entrance was markedly better, but the causeway from the parking lot to the hotel smelled of mold and chemicals used to cover up the awful smells. 2) After we settled into the room and unpacked for the night, we discovered there was something gooey/sticky all over the black top of the bureau where we found the TV clicker sitting. I scrubbed it off with a washcloth and hot soapy water, so I know it was NOT a permanent stain. 3) The carpet had not been vacuumed as there were crumbs left behind. 4) There were several computer accessories left behind by the previous "occupant" and so we called the front desk to report this, they did not express any interest in retrieving the items for contacting the previous occupant. We have never experienced this level of disinterest in the customer before at ANY Marriott property at which we have stayed. We stay consistently at Marriott properties (approx. 100 nights per year between business and leisure), and this was far below standard. What surprised us most was that other Marriott hotels usually contact us within a week or so after our stay by email to ask for feedback. We never received an invitation to offer our feedback on the stay at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott. Now we can guess why we didn't.

The best part is the extremely professional staff. Everyone there is so incredibly helpful and courteous. I really felt I was in a $300/night hotel. It was a really cold night and they had a complimentary hot apple cider stand set up when you walked in. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious and our two requests for a blanket and sheets were brought up within 5 minutes. Restaurant is beautiful, bar is beautiful (even though we didn't eat or drink there) and the walk to terminal C was super convenient. One warning: Unload your stuff in the front before you park! If you plan to stay and park for your vacation, you do have to do a little walking. You aren't allowed to park in the garage spaces that are directly adjacent to the hotel or they double charge you. Marriot's parking is garage C level 2, but if you plan to leave your car for a week you need to park on a different level. I wish they had told me that on the phone, because I would have pulled up to the front of the hotel and unloaded there.

If it weren't for the convenience of the hotel being close to the Philadelphia airport, they would have a lot less business. I had a delayed international flight and ended up spending the night here, hadn't eaten in 12 hrs due to airport delay only to find out they have no room service? front desk advised me to go into the restaurant downstairs that further explained to me they were out of everything. A joke for over $200! Next time 'll take a cab and stay at a local motel so I can get the same wonderful service I got here for $39.99 a night. Only difference here is the sheets were clean and there were no roaches.

I arrived at 2am along with several other people. Two bozos were at the counter questioning the price of their room. Another individual arrived at the counter and check me in immediately. She went on to check in the individuals waiting behind me. Getting in at 2am I did not want to be woken up before 10. I was shocked at the airplanes taking off right outside my room and not being able to hear them (I was on the 13th floor). I wish more airport hotels were like it.

My flight was canceled, so I decided to stay here because their website showed open rooms. When I went go to the counter and tried to purchase a room, their credit card machine did not work. Thankfully, they have an ATM in the lobby, so I was able pay with cash. The room was clean, nice, and quiet. But the next morning, I hooked up the coffee machine to find that there was no coffee in the room. If you're looking for a clean, quiet room with no service, then I recommend this place.
