I have a family member who has lived here for many years; the office staff know she doesn't speak much English. I am not happy knowing there are tenants who speak very little English and yet the office staff sends notices and contracts all in English.. This can be very confusing and may cause tenants to sign documentation without completely understanding what they are signing. Not to mention the lack of office staff in wanting to explain prior to signing. Due to this situation; tenants are forced to move because of lack of communication.

Signed three different leases for three different units due to original unit not being ready by the date I was to move in. Lived at this apartment complex for a month and was able to break lease due to condition of unit. The apartment had several broken/chipped cabinets and shelves, bug powder was left in all kitchen cabinets, roaches were left in kitchen/dining area, balcony was missing board and was very wobbly and not secure for my pets and 4yr old, several plug outlets did not work, mirrors in restroom stained, carpet in a couple of rooms were not secure to floor so was able to lift and see all of the powder under the carpet (not safe), broken AC unit that ran all day (bill for the one month = $240) and noisy neighbor who played loud music often. Overall unit was dirty and not in make-ready status. Although manager had maintenance, housekeeping and carpet installers back out all was still as is and no additional walk-through was done by the manager or assistant. Highly disappointed with the fact that I incurred additional expenses to move again and all the emotional/physical stress of moving due to my unit not being prepared for move-in.

3 months in and I have no serious complaints - complex is nice/quiet - a lot of families here too. There were a couple of things that I request they fix within the first week of moving in - most of it was completed in a timely manner and although its not the best job, they fixed all the problems and I am very pleased with the service/maintenance. It seems there was a previous part-time maintenance person that was doing sub-par work, I don't believe he works there anymore as I have had great response time and work done on the apartment since I've moved in.. The outlets are kind of a pain to work with but they are usable.... for the price you pay I think this place is great. Its an older complex and with older complex comes more wear and tear, some people need to realize that before living here. Like I said for the price you're paying it's definitely a great place to live. I'd like to add that the front office employees and manager have been helpful and courteous throughout the entire process and even after I've moved in - the cabinets in my apt complex were old/outdated and they were very helpful in planning for maintenance to come and paint them.

This place is falling apart! Once you live here you realize that nothing is really fixed, Holes and wall damage are just pained over. you can tell where the wall has serious damage, probably rotted or water damage, and is just covered with a layer of paint that is holding it together. holes in the floor, probably mold or water damage as well, are just covered with a fake wood vinyl that you can clearly feel under your feet. Everything is the cheapest and poor design possible. the shower design is so poor that if you dont have the shower head pointed at the wall it will leak water all over the floor. Not to mention im 6' and the shower heads dont even reach my shoulders. Staff is rude and dont care about your problems, probably cause they hear about it everyday. Maintenance will take forever to get to you because like i said, this place is falling apart. Oh and the wall outlets dont even hold a plug into the wall. you have to tape it to the wall which isnt safe and they say they dont have enough new outlets to replace them all... Stay away from his place! the floor plan and price make it look nice but trust me its not worth it!

The first viewing of the apartment went very well. I appreciate the mini-reno and find it difficult to complain about the small details that need correction. I might have been used to a second floor apartment but nonetheless I've had to ask for pest control often (misc insects), cosmetic fixes as well as tighten doors and switch sides for the refrigerator handles. The few times a year we get rain here could be an annoyance due to the soil/dirt creating puddles of mud over the only pathway to the parking lot. Emergency maintenance has responded quickly to a water waste call; capping off a leaky pipe. The front office ladies have always been noting but friendly and professional often times communicating through email creating a pleasant convenient experience. Recommending downloading the rent cafe app making it easy to pay rent online and saving the time/effort/$ for a money order. Things are looking decent at Austin Pointe, I appreciate it especially when I've paid more for worse! Hope this helps!
