Camden Bel Air is a really nice community and the office staff is awesome. They host really nice events and they have free wifi in the office. They also give your dogs treats when you stop by to visit. They have a business center for all residents to use the computers and T.V. Finally they have a place for you to take your dogs to run around and play at the dog park. Bel Air even has a place for you to play tennis, racquetball & basketball.
It's peaceful and pretty but the appliances do need an upgrade.
I have lived in various apartment complexes in Las Vegas since roughly 1980. I find living at Camden Bel Air to be the absolute BEST complex in town! We have had no problems with neighbors at all, and it has been nice and quiet by our building. The maintenance is by far the best! I put in a request and it is taken care of within 24 hours, without fail. We have now been here for 3 years. Sure, people complain about the break ins, but can you find anywhere in town where there isn't a problem with this? The answer to that is NO. Security guards can not be in two or three places at one time, so the chances of actually catching something as it is happening is slim to none, basically like finding a needle in a hay stack. People are too quick to blame the management for this problem instead of where the problem needs to be placed. We are living in bad economical times, so crime rate is going to be high. You need to be pro-active in your own security. You need to be aware of your surroundings at all times. Be vigilant of what is going on instead of walking around paying more attention to your cell phone. If you notice something out of the ordinary, take note. If it is remotely suspicious, call the police department instead of ignoring it. The burglars are more than likely working in pairs, one keeps a look out while the other does the stealing. So watch for strangers in your area. I know, seems like a lot to do, but if you can't do these simple things then you need to stop complaining. Find out who your neighbors are, what they drive, etc., so if you see someone who doesn't belong you can call Metro. I know all my neighbors and keep my eyes open for anything suspicious. We've not had anything bad happen in our area. Sorry for ranting, but after reading some of the posts... it just gets me going that everyone always blames management. I LOVE CAMDEN BEL AIR, and we will continue to stay here. I LOVE the office staff, and the maintenance staff! They work very hard. I visit the office fairly regularly and the girls are all really awesome! I particularly love that they use our residential web portal and Facebook to have contests! I am quite sure it is very hard for them trying to pull together a community, especially when the community at large wants to not have anything to do with anyone else. Everyone needs to come together.
The apartments are nice, cant beat the bathrooms they give you, they have paper thin walls though, i love hearing my neighbors cell phone vibrate like its on MY dresser. Dont suppose i need to tell you the other stuff i can hear like its going on in MY room. I've been here 15 mo. and put in over 20 work orders, only a few were major, mostly plumbing issues.Crime is horrific here. Had a murder the first few months, a stabbing couple months after that, had someone peeking in my windows and called security, called security again myself bc there was a man walking around looking through cars early in the morning, and there are break-ins all the time. Gates always broken. Always a lot of stray cats running around. If you care about living safely, dont live here. If you need something cheap and good for your money and are not afraid of dying, this may be for you. I will say the office staff and maintenance people are all very very very nice. This was my 1st apartment experience, boy did it teach me a few things.
Not really kid friendly, no place to ride bikes and such without crossing cars. Decent amenities but appliances need an upgrade. The tubs are old and hard to clean. Good place for first apartment or single person.
