I bought 2 units in Oxford Place 5 years ago,and was renting them both out. I finally moved into one in 2011 and have myself been a resident since. I cannot express how happy I am with the way this condo is run or how it is maintained... before we moved here, we were living in a beautiful pool house in Arbor Greene, a beautifully run community with tons of amenities. Let me start by saying that, like every community in the state, Oxford Place (& Arbor Greene) went through many changes and suffered many lows during the hard years of 2006 to 2009. Economic depression and income deprevation had its toll on all matters related to constant monthly expense. So, many homeowners experienced delays in paying their common charges, taxes and the usual consequences were soon to follow and effect everybody. Oxford Place was one to undergo such changes, and we went through an unsettling, disorganized period, however short, it did cause some distress. But what came next was a reorganized management that inforced and implemented many of the rules that were long ignored, and succeeded. What we have now is a strong community, clean, and a very pleasant place to live... and we have rules: Parking overnight is not allowed for visiting cars, BUT: temporary passes ARE issued through the front office, and visitors can stay during the day without the need for any passes, plus our parking spots are not assigned and there are many available. We have a beautiful pool, maintained daily and a gym accessible to all residents (and it is OPEN)... Plus we enjoy what many other communities don't have and that is an automatic membership to Tampa Palm Club (because we are members and we pay for it! ... EITHER the owners or their tenants, with a legitimate lease can utilize the facilities)... In it you enjoy a much bigger gym, three pools, 2 Tennis courts, and ongoing lessons (Yoga, etc...) which require registration... Our management and staff are very knowledgeable and cooperative in every way ... However they will not compromise the sanctity or high level of standards that we have now achieved. So, when there is a violation, it is addressed and penalized. We personally commited a violation unintentionally: we installed dark colored blinds (against code: white or off white) ... we were told to change them and we were happy to do so. Oxford Place is now better than ever: We have a professional responsible management and our budget is balanced. We just had many renovations including: rebuilding our playground, pavement work, repainting and roof replacement for the whole complex. We have very few units on the market for sale or rent. I am a realtor with 25 years of experience in the business in 2 states. I sold and rented in hundreds of complexes this size. It was my personal choice and preference, after long comparison to decide to buy and live in Oxford Place of New Tampa.

This is a nice community with friendly neighbors. As a medical resident I found my time there in Oxford Place to be what I needed. It is quiet, well-maintained, and safe. The community is diverse from undergrads to families to retirees. I was very happy that the community was not known for having college parties despite being close to a large university.

Visitors park in Residents spots, and the homeowners association is going bankrupt. They do not do background checks, the majority of Oxford Place looks like they want to blow up a country. The clubhouse was shutdown for atleast 4 months and we were not allowed to use the fitness center or restrooms while we were at the pool. For the amount that you pay to live at this place the staff should be better. There was only 1 nice person in the entire staff that actually cared about the residents, but every other staff member was ignorant and/or incompetent. I hated living here and would not recommend it to anyone at all.
