This was once the site of the old Trolley Barn that stored and serviced the many trolleys that used to run throughout San Diego. In 1991, the community transformed the site into today's popular Trolley Barn Park.
The cobblestone wall is one of vestiges of the historic Mission Cliff Gardens, developed in 1904 by John Spreckels.
