Sara Hymes: There are a handful of parking options near this busy corner. Central Parking seems to be the most convenient. #MeiersCorners

Sara Hymes: Here at W. 31st and Eighth Avenue, there is an entrance to Penn Station. It is a busy spot, located so closely to Madison Square Garden. #MeiersCorners
Sara Hymes: The Central Parking Lot was fairly busy on a Tuesday afternoon around 4 pm. I would say it was past half capacity. #MeiersCorners
Sara Hymes: This beautiful statue by sculptor Luis Sanguino is titled "The Immigrants". It can be found past The East Coast Memorial near Castle Clinton and celebrates the diversity of people that now make up New York City. #batterypark
Sara Hymes: Castle Clinton has a rich history. Located on the far west side of the park, today you can buy ferry tickets here that will take you to The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Just look for the large brick circular building. #batterypark
Sara Hymes: Paved walkways lead you through the trees not far from the water's edge. Look for benches to sit down and relax among the wildflowers! #batterypark
Sara Hymes: I couldn't get enough of the beautiful views from the park. Standing with your back to the East Coast Memorial gives a lovely photo opportunity of The Statue of Liberty. #batterypark
Sara Hymes: There is steady traffic on the water at the park. Here we saw the Staten Island Ferry departing the dock with passengers on board. #batterypark
Sara Hymes: This is one of the more sprawling monuments. The East Coast Memorial remembers the 4,601 missing servicemen from WWII who lost their lives in the Atlantic Ocean. It faces The Statue of Liberty. #batterypark
Sara Hymes: A quick walk from the many office buildings in the financial district, the walkway along the water offers a rejuvenating view full of water and sky. The New Jersey skyline is clearly visible from the edge of the park. #batterypark
Sara Hymes: Wildflowers and shrubbery make up some of the landscaped walkways where you can find a bench and enjoy a view of the water. This spot is near the sculptured walls of the East Coast Memorial. #batterypark
Sara Hymes: Near the west side of the park you can remember another group of veterans in a quietly landscaped memorial. The New York Korean War Veterans Memorial is seen here from it's informational plaque and eternal flame. #batterypark
Sara Hymes: There are many memorials thought the park. This sobering sculpture is a tribute to marine merchants that were attacked by a Nazi U-boat in WWII. #batterypark
Sara Hymes: You might have to avoid a bit of construction on some of the paths around the park. However, great views are endless, and here we found a great one of the newly-erected Freedom Tower. #batterypark
Sara Hymes: Follow one of the winding paths around the back of the park for a new perspective. Here you can see The Statue of Liberty in the distance beyond the East Coast Memorial Eagle. #batterypark
Sara Hymes: Open air seating is available at this Beer Garden. Enjoy a refreshment here right near the entrance of the park. #batterypark
