Washington's iconic Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees canopy over the foot paths along the Tidal Basin near the Jefferson Memorial. The trees bloom for a short time in the spring. Crowds flock to this area during this time for to see the fleeting blooms.

The foot paths at the water's edge offer excellent views of the DC waterfront and marina. Benches periodically dot the foot path throughout the park.
