Scott Ostrem: This is a community health club open to Scripps Ranch residents. There are annual dues for membership. The club has 3 swimming pools, raquetball and tennis courts, and an indoor fitness center

Scott Ostrem: Miramar Overlook is a small community park. It has a view of Miramar Lake. Hence, the name.

Scott Ostrem: This is a 6-8 middle school located in Scripps Ranch in San Diego County. The school is very highly rated academically. It is named after Thurgood Marshall, a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Scott Ostrem: This is a nice community library located right across the street from Lake Miramar. It has a pretty good selection, but is also part of the San Diego City library system so books can be reserved online.

Scott Ostrem: # University City. This is a very small neighborhood course. It's a 9 hole 27 par course. It's not very challenging, but a good value ($10 - $12) for a quick round.

Scott Ostrem: # University City. This is a very nice community pool. It's 25 x 15 meters and has a 1 meter diving board. There is also a nice grassy area to hang out in.

Scott Ostrem: # University City. This is one of the most iconic shopping centers in the San Diego area. It has recently been remodeled and has a lot of very nice outdoor sitting areas. One of the few ice rinks in San Diego is also located here

Scott Ostrem: The Black is one of the most famous shops in Ocean Beach. It's a classic "Head Shop" where you can buy "smoking supplies" and all kinds of rock and roll memorabilia.

Scott Ostrem: Robb Field park is a great oceanside park in Ocean beach. There are large athletic fields, and lots of places for kids to play.

Scott Ostrem: The olive tree market is a really nice little neighborhood store. They also have a great deli, and an awesome craft beer selection!

Scott Ostrem: This is one of the only beaches in San Diego where you can let your dog run free. Not so great a place if you don't have a dog though.

Scott Ostrem: This is one of the most iconic piers in all of Southern California. There is a nice cafe at the end. This is a really great place to go for an evening stroll. There is really good fishing from the pier, too.

Scott Ostrem: This is one of the most famous museums in San Diego

Scott Ostrem: A great pub in downtown La Jolla. It is very family friendly

Scott Ostrem: This place may not look like much from the outside, but it is one of the best restaurants in San Diego. This is a great place for a special occasion.

Scott Ostrem: This is another really good place for Mexican food. I especially like their tacos.

Scott Ostrem: This is a great little neighborhood park with some really nice play structures for kids

Scott Ostrem: This is a really great place for family meals. They have simple food - pizza, sandwiches, salads, and pasta. They also make really amazing breadsticks.
