This iconic place built in 1901 but closed to rail service in 1975 is once again a stop on the Amtrak rail line. It's part of the Northeast Regional line which runs from Norfolk, Va. to Boston. In addition to rail service and office space the building is available for private events.
Shockoe Bottom runs along side of the James River and the Kanawha Canal which means that it also runs along side of the flood wall creating some interesting architectural elements.
