World Trade Center Denver
Emily Foos: Located in Denver's Central Business District, the World Trade Center towers are two of the tallest buildings in the city. Housing numerous consulates, government & private offices, as well as the World Trade Center Denver office, these buildings serve as a hub for Denver's international community. #CapitolHill #Uptown #GoldenTriangle #LoDo

The Central Library
Emily Foos: Denver Public Library, Central Branch, 5th floor, western geneology...by far my favorite area in the library (and it is HUGE!) The 5th floor is quiet, there are windows everywhere (and the view is pretty cool, especially at night,) there are tables if you need to sprawl out and study, and there are comfy chairs if you just want to relax and read. If you are interested in the history of the west, they have some awesome artifacts and displays on this floor that are always changing. #LocalBooks
Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception
Emily Foos: With some of the most beautiful architecture in the city, the cathedral (located on Colfax just east of the Capitol building) is a must see whether you're just visiting or have lived here your whole life. And photographers, bring your cameras at sunrise or sunset for some almost guaranteed awesome shots! #CapitolHill #Uptown
Capitol Complex
Tabor Center
Spire
Emily Foos: According to their website, "SPIRE is Denver's best-selling high rise community." I, personally, will not be able to afford to live in one of these "exceptional and sought after" condos anytime soon (the are selling from the low $300,000s!) But I walk by here almost everyday and the SPIRE is a pretty neat looking building (the sequin looking panel is actually all individual pieces that move with even a slight breeze which makes the building sparkle in the sunlight.) They have been working on a redevelopment of the Theatre District area around this building for quite some time now, including the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Complex across the street, which connects to the Denver Convention Center a couple blocks down (the light rail train runs right through the middle, with a station underneath.) There are also a number of new restaurants within just a few blocks, and they have gone crazy builiding new 7-Elevens and Starbucks nearby as well (I'd have to say that, within about a mile radius, I've seen at least five to ten new 7-Elevens open in addition to the two or three already there, and there are at least two or three NEW Starbucks locations within just a couple blocks of the SPIRE building alone!) #LoDo
Wells Fargo Center
Emily Foos: A view of Capitol Hill looking down from the 26th floor of the Wells Fargo Center (the cash register shaped building) on 17th & Lincoln. The gold dome of the Capitol Building (enclosed in a white protective barrier in this photo) has been undergoing rennovations for about two years now. #CapitolHill
Civic Center Park
Emily Foos: Civic Center Park hosts a variety of festivals and outdoor events during the spring and summer months. This is a photo was taken at exactly 4:20pm during the 2011 4/20 Rally. If you have never attended one of these, its quite an experience! And smoking marijuana is not a requirement for attendance, so don't worry if you're not a smoker..this rally is about bringing about awareness in the community and educating people about marijuana (such as how/why it is used, possible and proven health benefits, how it compares to traditional western medicine, the legality of it & what we can do as a community to change unfair laws regarding it.) The Denver Police come out to this rally in mass every year (to help keep the peace-though people here rarely disrupt it, and to help protect the rights of the supporters of the rally.) April 20th at 4:20pm is the one time during the year when it is socially (and legally) acceptable for 1000's of people to gather in front of the state capitol and all light up and smoke together. I've seen the cloud of smoke so thick that the capitol building is barely even visible through it! The sense of togetherness and community on this day is simply amazing! #CapitolHill #GoldenTriangle
