Owls Head Park
Kathleen Patricia Odenthal: Do you like long walks by the water? Picnicking in summertime and sledding in the winter? We have the perfect match for you! No, this isn't a personal ad; it's Owl's Head Park. The spacious property in #BayRidge Brooklyn contains rolling hills, peaceful, meandering pathways, and breathtaking views of the New York skyline and striking Verrazano Narrows Bridge.
Union Church Of Bay Ridge: Church Office
Kathleen Patricia Odenthal: The Union Church of Bay Ridge is a beautiful church at the corner of Ridge Blvd and 81st in the #BayRidge section of Brooklyn. Before there were cars or subways, before there was a bridge to Staten Island, when Bay Ridge was green withlawns and "country" farms, there was a church. Two churches actually - a Dutch Reformed church [Bay Ridge Reformed Church] at 80th Street and Ridge Boulevard, and a Presbyterian church one block south, at 81st Street and Ridge Boulevard.
Bay Ridge Architecture
Kathleen Patricia Odenthal: #BayRidge is a residential neighborhood in Brooklyn. Its tree-lined streets are mostly filled with one- and two-family houses. Unlike many other Brooklyn neighborhoods, these houses have garages, basements, and lawns, which make certain streets in Bay Ridge look like those of suburbs.
Skinflints
Kathleen Patricia Odenthal: Skinflints Restaurant in #BayRidge Brooklyn is a favorite stop amongst locals and even a reason Manhattan residents make a trip into Brooklyn. I love this place. It's like you're grandma's basement from 1987. The decor has no rhythm what so ever. Low lit, stained glass light fixtures, off paintings on the wall, some random cases with sailboat models and statues, and furniture outdated by 15 years.
