Lopez Playground
Kathleen Patricia Odenthal: Located in the heart of #ParkHill Staten Island is a fun-filled playground for children of all ages. Lopez Playground, right off of Targee Street, is named in honor of police officer Luis Reynaldo Lopez (1957-1993) Officer Lopez worked in Manhattan South Narcotics Division and was slain in the line of duty on March 10, 1993 during a drug sting operation in the East Village.
September 11th Memorial
Kathleen Patricia Odenthal: Located on Skyline Drive, at the highest point in #ParkHill Staten Island, locals and out-of-towners alike can come see the beautiful memorial built in honor of all the men and women who lost their lives during the World Trade Center attacks on September 11th. Skyline Drive is right next to Mosel Avenue, which borders a cliff, making it look like the ocean is only feet away.
Eibs Pond
Kathleen Patricia Odenthal: Eibs Pond Park is located on the North Shore of Staten Island's #ParkHill district. The park is bordered by the streets of Mosel Avenue, Palma Drive, and Hanover Avenue. Eibs Pond Park is approximately 17 acres of protected wetlands and is made up of three separate ponds.
