This is one of the few places in the US that simulcasts the NYC Metropolitan Opera during the fall season...SO worth the ticket price. Learn to love opera!

Always nicer than you remember! Local, but not downtown, so the uninitiated doing a drive-by makes it easy to dismiss...don't. Veggie option, BYOB, plenty of parking, but no reservations. Very egalitarian about seating, so plan accordingly. ALWAYS busy around the holidays, UVa events, etc.

You need gas, and you're hungry but a sandwich in a plastic triangle is an assault on your better taste. Stop here. Really. It's a place to get a custom sandwich, MudHouse coffee to order and more tasty treats than you thought possible at a gas station. And there are multiple locations around Charlottesville.
