I live in 109 Roney Lane building and it has been the worst apartment I ever have had between me moving in and the 1st day having roaches which I never had before I lived there and the bed bug problem.... and not to mention the terrible neighbors. My lease is up in 2 months and I cannot wait to leave. I will never refer anyone to move there it will be a year I have lived there end of Feb and I'm so excited to move I have to throw away all my furniture because of the roaches that they forgot to tell me they had before I moved in. I hate it!
Mary Bradford the building manager never fixes the hallway or any repairs that you need. The upstairs apartment flooded my apartment and it took a year and a half for them to finally fix the water damage wall after i reported them to the Better Business Bureau. shame shame shame. Worst place in the city to live. I would never live there again.
I'd give it a 3.5. Despite the negative reviews, its not a bad bang for its buck. Had 1 large bedroom apt with the den room and lived with 2 others. Small kitchen and bathroom. I used the maintenance staff once and they were not very useful. Neighbors were so-so, but you can't expect much from a low income housing. No problems with theft though -I left my bike outside my apartment unchained and no one bothered it, but I did live on the 3rd floor. The upside is utilities. It may not seem like much, but there was infinite hot water and heat -which goes a long way in the matter of comfort level. You might be cool for a bit in October until they have to turn the boilers on, but you will not suffer from being cold (my apt was 85 all winter) -but there is no AC system so you have to supply your own if you can't hack the heat. Cooking gas was unlimited too. Never used the laundry facilities though.
Hey, this should be the last place to choose if you are looking for the apartment to live stress-free. Not because of the location or the building, but because it has the most unreliable management and I hated the so called manager. She is useless. you will waste your time talking to her( She might be sweet in the beginning until you start complaining about the maintainance issues. And yeah lastly, If you are already living there, do not pay the last month rent as they are gonna deduct a good amount from security deposit even if you leave the apartment better than the one that you started to live. Still, if you choose this place to live, take pictures of each and every corner , even under the carpet. Lastly, you will have a lot of Roaches to live with so you won't be alone in the apartment! Goodluck!!!
The apartments I live in right now is so loud and very dangerous 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
