I've lived at this community for over 2.5 years and have only watched it go downhill. It was taken over by a new management company, AMC LLC, which is a very shady property company. The new company brought with it more complex and expensive lease terms, tiered utility bills which are unfair and again, more expensive, and most of all, management that is extremely unprofessional and unkind. Both the previous leasing agent and current have no people skills whatsoever, and are downright condescending and rude. I had not paid rent late even one time in 2.5 years (30 months) of living here, and the property manager did little to nothing to reach out to her manager for a grace period or late fee reversal for a first time situation. I also was given the wrong number to her supervisor and have still not been able to have a conversation with management. It is an all around shady company. They also do the bare minimum for repairs to make the property look liveable, but don't take care of core problems with the buildings. The buildings are getting older and wearing out, but they have charged previous tenants, upon move out, for repairs instead of upgrading and normal maintenance. Also, prices are sky rocketing in the area, so this property is charging almost 40% more for rent than they did a year ago whilst doing nothing to maintain the property. You need to be very careful signing a lease here. You are not a resident, just a number whose pockets they will burn a hole in. Try the Americanas or other properties around the area before retreating to this property.

Everything has been great! I love the open floor plan of the one-bedroom, I came from an apartment complex where all the apartments are put together like shoeboxes, lots of walls and everything was kind of institutional. Needless to say, being able to look into the living while I am in my kitchen makes me happy. The dog park (although not huge) is an awesome amenity to have for my pup, he loves that he can run around and play without his leash. The location is great! Not too far from the city but far enough to get away from all the noise; only a few blocks from Green Mountains hiking/biking trails. It makes me really happy that I do not have to get into my car to drive to go hiking anymore. The management and maintenance have been great. In all, I am very happy I moved here, seriously the last place I was at sucked! Also, in one of the other reviews someone mentioned the price of rent and utilities and it is now a cold, harsh reality in Denver and the surrounding areas that we as residents are just going to have to pay what we are asked if we want to live here. Yes, it sucks, no, it isn't cool, but this is a good apartment complex and I would rather pay the rent I am paying here for the floor plan and all the other things described above than pay this rent at the last place I was at.

My family and I moved in to Bluesky Landing right before Christmas 2014. The management and property staff have been amazing. Joe, especially, was very accomodating and personable in signing our lease and getting us set up. They were running a rent special that was in our price range and the location couldn't be better...half a block from RTD with access to light rail. We are sitting at the top of Green Mountain with a huge deck which extends from the living room to the master bedroom with stunning views of downtown Denver. The floor plan for a 2 bedroom is beautiful with a wood burning fireplace which makes the winters so cozy. The maintenance staff is thorough and prompt in their handling of requests. We really feel at home here.

Update: Just received a utility bill for $82.48 for the following: Water $37.48 Sewer $5.94 Trash $10.00 Common Area Gas $1.89 Common Area Electric $5.17 Pest Control $2.50 Real Estate Tax $14.00 Service Fee $5.50 This place is a ripoff. Pure and simple. I would love to know why I'm paying a real estate tax. Ridiculous. Agree with everything the previous review said. The new management views residents as money-makers, not people who call this place home. The manager has the people skills of a cactus. It's funny/sad to see all the notes taped to people's doors on the 4th of each month saying that they miscalculated their rent payment, in some cases for amounts as little as pennies. And they do require a check for ALL underpaid amounts regardless of how small, under the threat of eviction if not paid within 3 days. Each month, residents receive a separate bill in the mail (which they are charged to receive) for utilities (water, trash, sewage) which is to be paid in addition to each month's rent. Utilities generally run about $50 depending on how many occupants live in a particular apartment and are calculated for each building's water usage. Other extra fees include washer/dryer $35, pet $30 per pet, and mandatory renter's insurance $10. So if you rent a washer/dryer from the complex, and have one pet, expect to pay an additional $125 on top of your base rent. They recently removed the rent drop box so rent can now only be paid by mail, online or in person (and possibly still by phone). If you aren't home between the hours of 9 and 5 weekdays, the in-person option is not an option, unless Saturday falls between the 1st and 3rd of the month. Plus there is no guarantee that someone will even be in the office to take your check. There are now at least 13 vacant apartments in the complex. For the price, there are much better options in the area, and those who have moved out realized this. All you are paying for here is green mountain.

Ah where to begin. This used to be a really cool community. All the neighbors knew each other, bbqed together, and helped each other out. But now everyone is moving out because of INSANE rent increases and strict management. I lived there for 3 yrs and in that 3yrs we had 4 different management companies. With the ever changing management the places are run down and outdated. Sure they are painting and doing a lot of cosmetic stuff to it now, but balconies that are completely dangerous need more than one board fixed here and there, etc. I was fortunate to be one of few apts with upgraded appliances but most have appliances Alice first used for the Bradys. The new management is so strict it is ridiculous. They will find a way to get a dime outta ya or in my case $4.16 haha. Maintenance is much better than in the past, but with only one maintenance guy its hard to keep up with everything. Its sad to see our community broken apart by this new management who honestly didnt see a bit to care when we all gave our notice. I would definitely look for somewhere else to rent. Shalom.
