Update: Just received a utility bill for $82.48 for the following: Water $37.48 Sewer $5.94 Trash $10.00 Common Area Gas $1.89 Common Area Electric $5.17 Pest Control $2.50 Real Estate Tax $14.00 Service Fee $5.50 This place is a ripoff. Pure and simple. I would love to know why I'm paying a real estate tax. Ridiculous. Agree with everything the previous review said. The new management views residents as money-makers, not people who call this place home. The manager has the people skills of a cactus. It's funny/sad to see all the notes taped to people's doors on the 4th of each month saying that they miscalculated their rent payment, in some cases for amounts as little as pennies. And they do require a check for ALL underpaid amounts regardless of how small, under the threat of eviction if not paid within 3 days. Each month, residents receive a separate bill in the mail (which they are charged to receive) for utilities (water, trash, sewage) which is to be paid in addition to each month's rent. Utilities generally run about $50 depending on how many occupants live in a particular apartment and are calculated for each building's water usage. Other extra fees include washer/dryer $35, pet $30 per pet, and mandatory renter's insurance $10. So if you rent a washer/dryer from the complex, and have one pet, expect to pay an additional $125 on top of your base rent. They recently removed the rent drop box so rent can now only be paid by mail, online or in person (and possibly still by phone). If you aren't home between the hours of 9 and 5 weekdays, the in-person option is not an option, unless Saturday falls between the 1st and 3rd of the month. Plus there is no guarantee that someone will even be in the office to take your check. There are now at least 13 vacant apartments in the complex. For the price, there are much better options in the area, and those who have moved out realized this. All you are paying for here is green mountain.
Ah where to begin. This used to be a really cool community. All the neighbors knew each other, bbqed together, and helped each other out. But now everyone is moving out because of INSANE rent increases and strict management. I lived there for 3 yrs and in that 3yrs we had 4 different management companies. With the ever changing management the places are run down and outdated. Sure they are painting and doing a lot of cosmetic stuff to it now, but balconies that are completely dangerous need more than one board fixed here and there, etc. I was fortunate to be one of few apts with upgraded appliances but most have appliances Alice first used for the Bradys. The new management is so strict it is ridiculous. They will find a way to get a dime outta ya or in my case $4.16 haha. Maintenance is much better than in the past, but with only one maintenance guy its hard to keep up with everything. Its sad to see our community broken apart by this new management who honestly didnt see a bit to care when we all gave our notice. I would definitely look for somewhere else to rent. Shalom.
The apartment was brand new and clean when we moved In. Management makes you feel at home right away and the maintenance crew is fast and effective with any issues you might have. I would be more than happy to suggest BlueSky landing to any of my close friends or family if they were looking for a nice calm place to live. Great views of Denver too!
Dont be fooled by the lipstick on this ditch pig.
They gave me a written quote and told me to return the following day with my deposit... When I came back with the money order they wouldn't honor the quoted price from the previous day and wanted an extra $40 a month. They then told me they would contact the corporate office and call me back, but never called me back. Shame because I really liked the location.
