It is with great disappointment and disgust that I am writing this review. Upon my first visit to the Maxi Pierrefonds store, I overheard several employees specifically Managers making derogatory and racist comments in reference to other employees. To elaborate, if figures of authority are so comfortable openly making such remarks, this leads me to believe that more disturbing comments are made in the employee only areas. To add, one employee refused to service an Anglophone customer and verbalized that Maxi is a French store, therefore they would only converse in French. Needless to say, this type of conduct is deplorable, unacceptable and outrageous. Prior to this extreme experience, I had always had reasonable service at the various Maxi stores that I frequent. Clearly, following this ordeal, I WILL NO LONGER do ANY of my daily shopping at Maxi, Loblaws or Provigo as your establishment is simply not worthy of my time nor money. Please be clear that I will be retelling this event to everyone and anyone who will listen. Rating your store "Poor" isn't even sufficient as you should be exposed to the public for what you really stand for which is tolerance for ignorance and tolerance for Caucasian Francophone’s only. Perhaps, correspondence with various local news stations should be my next move as there is NO reason for this type of behavior! I suggest that your entire staff educate themselves, wake up and enter the year 2013. I now see that these types of issues are not exclusive to stores in the South Shore namely IGA in Saint-Lambert.....
