BEWARE !! The Management has the weirdest leasing contract where a new tenant is passed over an existing one who has already served the notice to vacate the premises. Recently went through this worst situation where Mr. Ed or Eduardo from the leasing office repeatedly said such incidents never happens, so rest assured the apartment you are leasing today is yours on the move-in date, but he doesn't take a single minute to go back on the contract if the tenant changes his/her mind and cancels their notice to vacate. So before renting anything at this place, do favor to yourself, and ask this question: DO YOU FEEL LUCKY Renting here ? Can you survive a last minute change where you will have to move-in to any damn unit that the leasing office provides when your agreed unit is not available for move-in ? I wish if i had time, i would have definitely pursued a case against this leasing office, but fortunately i have better things to do..... Good luck to all new tenants or best of luck if its too late for you to get out !!
When you sign your next contract, you will be surprised that they raise your payment by 30%!!! This is what willow lake management does, be careful to move in if you want to stay here for more than one year. This year, I know a lot of residents moved out because the ridiculous price increase!
Over charged on everything
The location of this complex is great, especially if you work in south bay. The facility are great, when they work and are not flooded by people from outside the complex. but that about it. The management is not helpful at all, and their practice are sometime downright outrageous. The on site manager will not do anything to help you out, and the staff, while polite, is completely useless to existing residents. This is the kind of place you have to be careful about your deposit, moving out charges, etc. I lived here for 2+ years now, and changed apt once, When i move out they ended up charging me for the paint, the kitchen counters, etc, even though the life of paint is 3 years, and the kitchen counters are 3 years too. While most of residents are polite, you will not get any help from the management with the noisy ones. basically, the management is here to get empty apt filled up, and push back on pretty much any request from existing residents. if unlike me you have the means to avoid this place, I suggest you do.
For the price I'm paying, the noise in my apartment is totally unacceptable. If you get one of the apartments facing the pool/lake area you might enjoy your stay. I can't imagine anyone else liking this. Bad parking. Overflowing garbage. My mail was broken in to. And oh yeah, the traffic noise. Garbage trucks at 5 am every Friday.
