Price: Decently priced, although I feel like you can find better. Laundry facilities need work, all of the washers/dryers smell like mold. Also, the electricity in the buildings are old and outlets consistently working isn't dependable. Also, none of the building have any insulation, so unless you have the heat on 24/7, you're in trouble. Heat in winter is wicked expensive. The building only serves comcast, so be ready for those prices too. Staff: The worst. They are inconsistent with communications (i.e. rent reminder, etc) and at times, unresponsive. Their online payment system can take 1-7 days to process your rent, creating anxiety about late fees. Parking: 100% undependable. You have a slight window to find a parking spot, otherwise you're left to street parking unless you secure a reserved parking spot. I'd recommend getting a Maryland permit. Maintenance: Exceptional. Every time I put in a maintenance request it was resolved within a day or two (minus the whole outlet situation).

Living at Falkland Chase has been an okay experience for me. But when it comes to maintenance and parking, I just have no words. Parking is beyond horrible, but of course this isn't something that can really be fixed. There are more units than people, which means if you come home a minute too late, you're on the street, and if you wake up a minute too late, there's $60 parking ticket on your window that I cannot afford. I've received two of them so far. The maintenance has been an issue sense moving in, The freezer, the faucet, the ceiling fan, the top lock, the door latch, the intercom. I'm at a point where I don't call the maintenance anymore..I just don't care. I don't think I would recommend this place to anyone I knew, depending on the circumstances - maybe, but more than likely no.

How thoughtful of management to throw a get to know you BBQ for staff and residents! Lots of food and goodies for all. Although it was done a while ago, I just saw the gym update. It is wonderful..so many new pieces of work out equipment ! Now, we have no excuses for not exercising and.. in style !!

This place has serious Mold issue. All the management does is, send the maintenance guys to wash the walls using bleach and they provide us with a loud machine that sucks the moisture and every day the machine sucks 2-3 gallons of moisture. The current management is the worst and they have a very unprofessional property manager. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

I still live here, and I'm hoping that the new rental company can implement good changes, but I'm doubtful they have our best interests at heart. The dog parks need a lot of work (drainage, leveling, higher fence, better surface), but we don't see much action on their part, even though they make plenty of money off of all of our pet fees and (now) non-refundable pet "deposits." And their parking policies seem geared less toward accommodating residents and more toward getting us to pay for reserved spots instead of free ones. That being said, the office staff is nice to your face and try to respond to emails and calls as soon as possible. Also, the grounds are very pretty; they even have a stream running through a little picnic and BBQ area. And the apartments, though they can be old, moldy, and somewhat full of ants, are pretty nice overall. I will update my review in a few months if any action is taken by JBG on the many complaints we have made as a community. As for now, I would not recommend moving in and paying this much for this much inaction, despite the closeness to the Metro and the pleasant grounds. *Update, 9/12/14: After a lot of us exerted pressure on JBG, they agreed to moderately improve the dog parks. For that I will give them back one star. The parking policies are still a mess; I tried to get a parking pass for a guest and was told that they had run out, so my guests would have to find street parking somewhere until they could get more paper slips. Stupid stuff like that really adds up.
