The Point has been a nice place to live. They have a friendly staff who is very personable. They have a solid online service to pay rent, notification of any packages, and a maintenance service which is "free." You definitely pay for the location, being a mile from Annapolis but it is overall worth it. Reason for the 3 stars: Constant fire alarm. Over the past two years, we have had to evacuate the building for the fire alarm going off. It has happened over 10 times. We have never had a fire (at least to my knowledge) and really haven't had an explanation why the alarm went off.
so many times i've had packages (many of the perishable) delivered, and the leasing office either doesn't tell me about them, or waits a week, two weeks, three weeks, etc... to tell me. they don't enforce resident parking areas, which is great for the people mooching off my parking spot, but sucks when i get home at 11pm and theres literally nowhere to park. but they sure as heck enforce the retail parking areas.. have seen mice, rats, centipedes in the garage of our building. the elevator works on and off. on multiple occasions it has suddenly dropped while going up.. yeah.. like in the amusement parks.. but its not supposed to happen in a real elevator. management doesn't seem to do anything about it. many times theres (what i assume is) dog urine on the stairs and hallways of our building, and it either never gets cleaned up, or takes MONTHS for management to fix it. I've put in maintenance requests for our apartment and a good amount of time the leasing office never puts it into the system, so no one ever comes to fix whats wrong. maintenance has asked to make a copy of our keys on FOUR separate occasions and they seemed to have lost 3 of those copies.. these no call button system for guests or deliveries to let us know they are at the gate. its only reserved for people who have landline phones?!?!? who has a land line phone anymore? BUT THERE IS AN AWESOME CHICKEN PLACE, NAIL SALON, AND A STARBUCKS.. so that makes it worth it, right?
