Apartment 1206 is full of mold on the South living room wall if flooded and its flooded numerous times mold is a growing organism they replace 6 inches of the sheetrock by themselves when you're supposed to have it done professionally left all of my belongings exposed to the mold once they open the sheetrock and did not offer me any type of compensation I didn't have my living room for 3-4 days it flooded 4 or 5 times in the year that I lived there.... apartment 1404 leaks in the roof the ceilings falling through and they want to charge me for paint they didn't fix the back door for 8 months that I had the work order in it did not shut all the way there for my energy costs were not very efficient the windows rattle when the wind blows the carpet was for 5 years old they want to charge me to replace it I left the apartment with every blind that was in there when I got the place and when I left they mysteriously disappeared and I got charged for them charge me for them and not to mention that I have been robbed or stolen from 3 different times that I lived in that apartment I've lived there for over four five years all together and it was a horrible experience so overall unless you feel like being robbed out of your money I do not advise living in Cedarbrook apartments now they're trying to sue me for pretty much a whole month's rent and I'm thinking of a countersuit for endangering me and my family knowingly sticking us and a mold infested apartment for a year and not doing anything to fix it
Unbelievably terrible. Ever since the old property manager from Pepperwood came over, Cedar Brooke has been going downhill. From forcing people out of their positions so her people could take over, to making it so unbearable people quit their jobs that have been here for years, the place has been getting worse and worse. If the tenants think they are treated poorly, just imagine being an employee. This property constantly berates the maintenance staff, except the 2 that are the "favorites". They get a clear pass to do whatever they want, whether it's sitting in the office doing nothing, to deciding what part of the job description they will adhere to or not. And if you find other employment due to the abuse, they try to force you out of your apartment within 3 days. So beware living here, and beware working here. Maintenance is unable to get any vacant apartment done to any standard, either causing the resident to just leave and not sign the lease, or causing the resident to move in late. Management takes no responsibility for the failure, even though they refuse to walk the apartment or make maintenance actually do their job. On top of it all, the place is far too old and run down for them to be charging the outrageous prices that they do. Appliances are 20+ years old, the walls are crumbling and falling apart, they charge you money to just pay your rent, work orders are never addressed, and when they are the maintenance work is shoddy and not complete.
DO NOT give these people a deposit!!! First, they charge a $45 application fee, then an additional $150 processing fee, which I have never seen any other leasing agency charge. Both of these charges are non-refundable. They then told me, by phone, that I had to pay my security deposit online. I asked if I could come in the office to pay this, as I was not comfortable paying it until I saw the approval and lease. I was told this was not an option, so I did as I was told. The next day I was sent an email requesting additional information before I could get approval. I sent that information the same day. A week later, I still had not heard back as to whether I was approved and had the apartment or not. After 9 days of hearing nothing, I called to tell them I was no longer interested and wanted my security deposit returned. They refused to refund it, claiming they had held the apartment for me. Yet, I was NEVER approved and NEVER signed a lease. I have searched this city for apartments and rental homes. No one has ever required any money beyond the application fee and no one has ever taken a security deposit without approval or a written lease. This is bad business and a complete rip off. Their leasing agent, Heidi, and her manager were unwilling to work with me, did not give me accurate information during the process, and changed their stories when arguing my case. I recommend to everyone, do not give these people your business! You will lose a lot of money for nothing!
The management at this place is super unprofessional and they will do anything to get more money out of you. Very shady...
I have found my experience here at Cedar Brooke apartment complex, one of the best I've ever had. They have made a beautiful community that is centered around the needs of the people. Not only are they very kind and professional they are willing to go that extra mile for you. They make repairs a priority no matter how small or large and are always making our housing community beautiful. I am proud to have family and friends come to visit.
