I think the previous review on here was pretty harsh. Its not the apartments responsibility for other people's negligence in placing trash in a non-overflowing dumpster nor is it their job to pick up after everyones dog poop. They also can't stop people from "piggyback"entering the apartments, it happens everywhere. As for the security guard, Ive seen both guards at night patrolling. I think this place is great. The only downside I see here is parking. Its a pain with only one assigned spot per apartment.
The apartment smelled of mildew from the wet carpet that was not fully cleaned, the toilet was stained brown and yellow from fecal matter and urine. The apartment complex also has a very bad system for washers and dryers in the units, they're horrendous. Not to mention when the neighbors would walk or jump, the floor would flex not dissimilar to a trampoline, and the dogs that weren't allowed to be on the balcony, were on the balcony. The individuals at the office while often polite, were not in essence equipped to handle all situations that require proper action and thoroughness. I was in the process of disputing a fee for a deposit, and i may add politely, for the "cleaning," that was said to be required for my apartment. I was at the time in the military, and I inspected the apartment and documented all discrepancies on the pre-move in checklist and inspection sheet. I left the apartment cleaner than when i came in, of course with the exception of the carpet, which is standard to be cleaned by any and all logic, (Or should be). I was told in person whilst disputing my fee by the individual in the office, that photos were taken to document said uncleanliness. I asked for the photos and any information that may be applicable, as well as informed the individual that i would be more than happy to collaborate and to help take care of this issue, and pay for that which is due, if justified. Immediately after stating that i would like to have documents and would be glad to cooperate, I was told that the computer that had the photos on it had crashed, and that Harrison Park Apartments would email the information to me when the documents were available. I received one email after a few months or so from the individual that was said to have taken the photos, stating that she had yet to find any photos, and that she would work on getting me this information to continue my dispute. These events that involved the fee for cleaning happened in 2013, approximately in November. I never received ANY details of my dispute and therefore never paid any fees. I was never contacted or emailed, nor mailed any items that would place the dispute back into play by any company affiliated with this complex. In Jun of 2014 I was contacted by a collection agency; (Hunter Warfield), on behalf of this complex and its affiliate, SUREDEPOSIT. I was quite disappointed, and never received any information on this matter that would implicate evidence. To get to my point, in the entirety of time it took to receive information about this dispute, (Sarcasm) - I never received any from this complex. This complex will treat you nice to your face, until you leave and you're fair game for money. This maneuver seems typical and abundant among apartment complexes that are not worth time and money, that are in the end and after the facade has been lifted, utterly deplorable. Clockwork ladies and gentlemen. I would never and have never recommended this complex. Please save yourself the trouble, if you're looking for an apartment, go to the Arboretum Apartments on 4700 N Kolb Road. They're the best apartments I have ever lived in, and happen to be cheaper than Harrison Park as well.
1st apartment had black mold under sink that we had to endure for months while they attempted to cover it up with paint, and roaches they finally moved us to new apartment . dog poop everywhere poor maintenance one of the pools is closed most of the time no sidewalks going out of the park so your kids will have to walk in road to get to school and cars fly in entrance security gate is not so secure people piggy back to get in without using card one card opens both gates no security guard monitoring no water in workout room so make sure to take your own dumpsters over flowing most of the time stinky dumpsters no recycling cost is to high for what you get could be living in oro valley for this price
i've lived here for about 4 months now. in a 2 bed/2bath. its great. very affordable rent for what my family makes. the office/management is very nice. they have they're office open at good hours, host events every month so you can meet your neighbors, and have computers for their residents to use along with the gym. also, as soon as we have an issue (fridge leaking, sink dripping, etc) a maintenance man was at our place the next day and got it fixed. a few annoying things would be when my neighbors blast their music. def can hear it. pllus my neighbors bedroom is on the other wall of mine and i can hear them snoring! besides the thin walls and noise at times, its perfect. also alot of residents dont know how to pick up after their dogs and you can find dog crap on the few areas of grass we have.
Lived here for 15 yrs very happy with how quickly they assist and fix anything that is wrong. Super friendly and accomidating. Have lived in two of their apts the apts and grounds are kept up nicely gated community and a aggressive security service very pleased indeed
