it's as good as you make it. The area has its share of drug dealers and addicts.
WOOW WHERE TO BEGIN!!!!! if I could give them a negative rating I seriously would!! nothing but problems!!even if it was the last place in tucson I would never go back!!! they fool you by the fact that its in a nice central areal but that's it!! management is completely terrible, they're never accurate try to always charge for something you don't owe they lie to you! they're workers are drug addicts the "security" is lazy never does anything my car was broke into twice! alwaays cops and ambulance. water never works, infested with roaches, it takes forever for them to fix anything which they never really fix!! please don't move into these apartments worst in tucson by far!!!
This is, by far, the absolute worst place I have ever lived. Don't be fooled by the central location. It's in a good spot and the place actually looks OK. It's not the apartments themselves, it's the people (and the management that does nothing about them) that are the problem. If you plan on paying rent here, be aware that it seems that a good percentage of the people here are on public housing vouchers. This makes the class of people living here quite low. YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY have neighbors that will be completely disrespectful and play music loud enough that it can be heard a mile a way. And guess what? Management will do nothing about it. The poor construction of the apartments amplify the noise even more and allow you to hear everything outside your apartment. Your biggest nightmare (as of September 2009) would be if you love anywhere near the residents of apartment 1209. They are unemployed, yet have somehow found a way to purchase the loudest speakers in history. They will play their Insane Clown Posse music as loud as humanly possible all day without regard to surrounding residents. Sadly, they don't even need their speakers to bother other residents as they loiter in the common entry way as if it was their own personal patio, smoking, drinking and screaming for their stupid cat 'Elmo' all day. Yes, I know their cat's name because that's how freaking loud they are. You can sit in your own apartment and hear every word of every conversation these idiots have. To be quite honest, if Scotia management did anything about residents like this, it would be a decent place to live. The landscape is decent and the apartments themselves are OK (save the thin walls). Really the only issue with the place is the percentage of the residents that seem as if their goal in life is to bother others. So, it's really just a poor management issue. Solve that and the pace would be decent, but I don't see this pathetic management group doing anything about it anytime soon.
If I could put a negative rating on this dump I would. I 110% support the statements below about loud disruptive disrespectful neighbors. I had my vehicle broken into twice. Also, the fees for breaking your lease (due to unsafe and unenjoyable living conditions) is extortionary. Furthermore, management is unreliable, unresponsive, and unapologetic. However, if you are a ex-con, gang member, or crack head, this is the place for you.
Wow, where do I start? LOOK ELSEWHERE! Your water will be off CONSTANTLY, your neighbors will be hardcore drug users (this place is filled with heroine and crystal meth junkies), your apartment and/or car may get broken into, cops will be here frequently looking for people, the quality of the apartments is shabby at best and you WILL be lied to by management about nearly everything. There has been a serious bee problem around both pools that hasn't been attended to for at least a couple years now and I watch children get stung constantly. I seriously feel bad for the new tenants I see moving in here and when I see new people checking the place out I want to run up & tell them to just get back in their cars & leave. Please do yourself a favor and keep this place off your apartment search list. I'd hate for anyone else to have to learn about this place the hard way.
