I recently moved to the property and overall I like my place I don't think that I would move anytime soon. Here is a quick break down of my overall opinion. Leasing Office Staff - The staff members SO FAR have been pretty pleasant all of my issues were resolved quickly regarding my move in and things that were overlooked. I do believe that they should do a better walk through of the units before leasing a lot of my issues should have been noticed upon the walk through! I wasn't too dissatisfied because they did come right away to resolve the issues. Parking- The parking is decent there are two entrances to the building so if there isn't parking in the front I can park in the back (the back could use better lighting). I haven't had a real issue with parking at all. The Unit/building - I live in the elevator building (9401 white cedar dr to the rear of the complex). The building itself is ok the carpet inside could use a cleaning for sure. The elevators for the most part run well however there is ALWAYS some type of trash inside from people not picking up behind themselves. I would recommend a increase in the building cleaning but its not too bad it just depends on the day. if I know I am having company I check the elevators and try to pick up any trash I see its nothing like inviting someone over for the first time and the elevators are a mess! There have been a few incidents with dog owners letting their dogs poop on the elevators or the surround areas of the elevators. I would have to say that is the biggest down fall of this building because the dog owners are TRIFLING and its hard to find out who the culprit is! My unit is nice I like the layout the appliances could be more up to date that would improve the look of the kitchen for sure. My neighbors aren't too noisy however the people upstairs are LOUD more so on the weekends ( you can tell they have SEVERAL kids because they sound like they are going to come through the floor lol) but that's to be expected when you live in a apartment so that isn't a big concern for me so far. Grounds- The grounds are kept in okay condition they could increase cleaning because I have witnessed people let their children throw trash outside. Some people are just dirty and nasty there is always one no matter how nice the area/unit/complex is! Trash - The trash bins during the week are okay on the weekends they do get a bit full considering the number of units in the building that's to be expected! The gym is nice small but nice if you want to work out for free its decent. I have gone plenty of times early am, afternoon and evening. Pest- I haven't had any issues with pest at all. Building Traffic - I harldy see my neighbors during the week. The weekend I haven ran into a few people that live in the building. I also noticed on the weekend there are three teenagers (two boys and one girl) who hang out in the entryway of the building I don't know if they live in the building or if they are just loitering! The property is pretty nice as I stated before certain things are to be expected when you live in apartments noise levels, trash etc I would recommend the property to others I try to be positive and I truly feel you live inside of your home not outside. Certain things you cant control because everyone lives differently. As far as the concerns about crime I haven't witnessed any crimes since being here however I am very cautious when leaving/ entering my home. Crime is EVERYWHERE so that is something that can not be avoided!
we are enjoying our stay with our daughter and son in law in red run apartment. lovely and comfertable place to live .
1. There is about two parking spaces worth of trash from an eviction that has been outside in front of one of the apartment complexes for over 4 days. Now people are combing through it each night, sending their toddlers and young children into the pile of garbage and picking through it. Talk about a code violation. 2. There was a huge fight right outside the apartments on my lower level. I walk by them when getting my mail, and I can tell there was a fight because it was so loud, we called the police, even though we live several stories up, but they had already responded, and because there is STILL blood on the walls. Ew. The fight was Halloween of this year. 3. Break-ins, robberies, and car vandalism have been happening. This neighborhood is going downhill fast. 4. Maintenance does not respond to requests well. I have an issue in my apartment, I have a leak, it was not fixed, I told them about it. They came in and said there was nothing wrong because it leaks only occasionally. So I now have a random leak that I have to clean up multiple times whenever it actually does leak. 5. This is not a good place for children. No loitering allowed, and there are no playgrounds, so there is no place for them to go. No yards either. Nothing that make this a good place for children. Yet people still let their kids play unattended in the parking lots, and a few have jumped right out in front of me while I was driving. Luckily, I go slow, but most people do not. Accident waiting to happen. 6. Grafitti, pot smoke, and screaming people after 11 at night. Loitering MEN who make me feel exceedingly uncomfortable when I get home from work. And they are there random times throughout the day (no jobs?). 7. Seems like there is seedy population who lives here and makes 90% of the problems, which is insane because I am paying 4 figures a month for my rent (crazy for what we get in terms of service and clientele). 8. They've lost my packages more than once. Luckily it was stuff that could have been reordered (and that the company I ordered them from paid for), but what if it was an heirloom, like the quilt my great great great grandma made, etc? Pros: My own laundry, no bugs or mice (yet, but at the rate the people go through this stuff, who knows what will spread to my apartment), apartment staff seems nice (but totally incompetent), some special dinners (though last time I went there was no pizza and no one was kind).
My first apartment had a mold problem that was never properly addressed. Apparently painting over it is how Red Run thinks mold is taken care of. My second apartment had a refrigerator leak that led to mold growing on the cabinets - it took me reporting the issue 4 times for the maintenance guy to finally see the full extent of the problem. It's been two weeks and the water damage and mold are still not fixed. Most recently, my car was broken into and severely damaged and today the same happened to my motorcycle - both are parked in the garage I pay extra for. I am absolutely disgusted with this complex at this point.
