The best leasing experience I have ever had. So Simple and they made it so easy. My Apt is perfect for studying and relaxing! My view is beautiful. My neighbors are quite and nice. They got me right in ! Hailey is very helpful and so if the rest of the staff here is professional and the areas are all well kept and clean. Thank you , for getting me my new home.
First off I will say that I am a fairly new resident of campus walk, but so far my experience is great! I had to move in sooner than expected and the staff jumped on it and found an available spot, had me up and running within that very night. The apartments were clean the facilities are clean, I have no objections on the neighborhood or neighbors. I also have a two year old and I don't second guess his safety here the staff are so great with him as well, they speak to us every single time they see us around the facility. I did at first have doubts with the noise level, with this being college student atmosphere but I have no worries with that, it is actually surprisingly quiet around here. I love the cool way you can pay for your laundry through your card and get texts when its finished so you don't have to wait on it or keep walking back and forth to check on it. All in all I am really happy so far with Campus Walk facility as well as the staff, management, and maintenance.
Don't love here. They charge you way more than what the rooms are worth. Also, the cap for electricity and water is a scam because even when I was gone for a whole month I went over on both somehow (?). In the winter the window sills grow mold because they are not properly insulated. When I moved in my door didn't even shut, if there was a breeze it would fly open unless the dead bolt was locked. I put in a maintenance request to have it fixed and all they did was change the lock. I could still see through a Crack between the door and door frame when it was shut and locked. Like a solid crack...so talk about a half assed fix. The shower creaks every single time you move in it. Also, the way the showers/tubs are designed perfectly enables black mold to grow. Specifically in the space right where the tub connects to the shower walls. I'm talking nasty. No matter how much you clean it it will grow. Do not move here, ever.
I have been living in these apartments for the past 3 years and after moving out I think they have earned this review. When I first moved in, the carpet, bathtub, and this drip pan they have under an archaic a/c system was nasty, along with some shoddy blinds for the windows. I always hated how loud the a/c was, which was to the point where you most definitely hear the television at a reasonable volume, and that I always had to use air fresheners liberally in order to mask the old funky smell of the apartment which I would compare to an old rest home. The smell will even seep into your clothing. I lived there when they were doing complete renovations for over a month I think, to the complete and utter inconvenience to the people residing there. They made you cram everything in your apartment into your bedroom, and there were constantly construction guys coming in and out of your apartment at their own convenience at times. I even had one bust in on me while I was eating my morning breakfast, to which they said "WOOPS! Wrong apartment.".......Nice operation there I tell you. They also replaced our thermostats, and mine didn't work. I had to put in a maintenance request and go a day without a/c in the summer, to which all they did was replace the thermostat again without checking to see if it actually worked before they left, so I still had no a/c. I ended up fixing it myself and found the problem was due to a wire that was cut to short and no one bothered to fix it. Now that I have moved out I have been billed with insane fees. I got charged for new blinds, which I already replaced while living there out of necessity due to the ones I was stuck with. I also got charged for the crazy drip pan they have under the old a/c unit they use to catch the ridiculous amount of condensation it releases and leaves a tan looking slime that turns into flakes as it dries. Charged to paint the FULL apartment, even when I was there during renovations and much of the apartment was painted; they also tell you not to paint when you are moving out. And lastly I got charged for a carpet cleaning, which rented a carpet cleaner and cleaned the carpet before I moved out, but the carpet was so dirty when I moved in that you could only do so much. I have found the way they treat you as a college student to be unreasonable at times. If you get all inclusive, they will get third parties to send you the bill and will also bill you for their fee to do so, which is rather extreme in my opinion. It's around $2.75 for the one that bills you for water and sewer, and around $10.25 for the one that bills electricity, which is a company ironically called "Conservice", so overall that's about $13 dollars down the drain which is why you always get charged overages.
It's nice if you like to share your living space with hella German cockroaches and pay 750.00 for a place that should roughly be about 500.00 The parking lot is disastrous and my car had gotten three huge dents and scratch marks since I moved there. Couldn't be happier to remove myself from that place. Thankfully my downstairs neighbor was about the only sane person around. My move in experience was easy but what I've heard from other tenants sounds like a nightmare...being charge the last two months rent plus the first month plus a move in fee. Seems a little much. To break your contract you also have to pay 85% of the rent even if your getting another human to move in the very next month with no lapse in payments for the apartment building. Not saying it's an absolute nightmare to live here but I would leave it as your last option. And by last option I mean even after considering hell.
