It's horrible! The walls are paper thin. I feel like I live in a community house. They have a rodent problem. The hallway are not maintained and they are carpeted. They smell and are dirty. The rent is too high for all the headaches this complex brings. I've been here two months and I am already considering breaking my lease. I'm Pissed off seemed like a good place. It's thee worst!
My mother, an I have been living in these apartments for roughly 10 years and finally decided to move out this year due to several issues. This area began going "down hill" roughly 2 - 3 years ago and never seemed to get better. At night the bus stop located Dickey Hill and Tucker Lane often have a strong odor of marijuana, typical "drug boys" hang out there occasionally, and safety don't seem to be the main priority here in the complex anymore....Buying New Washing Machines are!! Millions of dollars could have been spent increasing security presents, or buying security cameras went down the drain on new washing machines. That excepts TCA! Over the years my apartment building have received several new tenants and none seem to last more than 6months to 1 year, hallway often smells like marijuana. I think if we still had our old property manager Shelly, we wouldn't be considering to move. The new property manager don't even speak or reach out to the community. That's not something we are use to...Shelly use to drive around every morning speak, wave, stop and engage etc. I grew up in this area, attending Dickey Hill Middle School which was an excellent school to attend, the crossing guard was truly amazing she knew every parent name, every child name, cousins, uncles, aunts, etc. Honestly, it would be a battle leaving this place but with new management things don't seem to improve.
The online reviews paint a horrible picture of this complex, but it's not at all that bad. I lived here for two years, year one with 2 roommates, year two with 1 roommate. Year one we had no problems. All work orders were fixed in a timely manner. Noise and music were occasional, other than the neighbors we had above us. But we complained to management and they brought their noise level down. In general, our neighbors were friendly and even offered to help with groceries, furniture, or other items that presented difficulties. We moved to a different apartment for year two, and it had been uninhabited for a few months. There were mice, but our cat killed them in the first week and we never saw them again. Again, our neighbors were nice and helpful. Besides occasionally pests, my only complaint is the front office. They weren't the greatest at communicating changing office hours and that would present a difficulty. But, they were also always nice. For recent college grads, who could be living in much worse conditions in the city, we really enjoyed our time here.
OMG.. I thought it was a good apartment when I saw it.. I moved in a women with two child and a getto boyfriend always fighting on her.. I call the police and wrote letters to the management and they said they will do some but nothing. I don't like being in my apartment. I request that if they can't get them out to please relocate me or let me out of my lease 6 months early to find somewhere else to live..
This place is a ghetto. The characters of most people around here are lacking in respect, dignity, and common courtesy. People throw trash on the ground EVERY WHERE, and thieves abound. The walls are so thin, that neighbors several floors to the right/left and above/below you can be heard. Conversations are easily heard through walls, as is hearing your neighbors urinating in their toilets. I've found several drug needles on the ground with little plastic bags of residual evidence nearby. Empty liquor bottles litter the grounds every week. If you don't mind neighbors who are rude, inconsiderate, volatile, hostile, and filthy, then this is the place for you. Maryland Management needs to step up their game and get this place under control.
