The online reviews paint a horrible picture of this complex, but it's not at all that bad. I lived here for two years, year one with 2 roommates, year two with 1 roommate. Year one we had no problems. All work orders were fixed in a timely manner. Noise and music were occasional, other than the neighbors we had above us. But we complained to management and they brought their noise level down. In general, our neighbors were friendly and even offered to help with groceries, furniture, or other items that presented difficulties. We moved to a different apartment for year two, and it had been uninhabited for a few months. There were mice, but our cat killed them in the first week and we never saw them again. Again, our neighbors were nice and helpful. Besides occasionally pests, my only complaint is the front office. They weren't the greatest at communicating changing office hours and that would present a difficulty. But, they were also always nice. For recent college grads, who could be living in much worse conditions in the city, we really enjoyed our time here.
OMG.. I thought it was a good apartment when I saw it.. I moved in a women with two child and a getto boyfriend always fighting on her.. I call the police and wrote letters to the management and they said they will do some but nothing. I don't like being in my apartment. I request that if they can't get them out to please relocate me or let me out of my lease 6 months early to find somewhere else to live..
This place is a ghetto. The characters of most people around here are lacking in respect, dignity, and common courtesy. People throw trash on the ground EVERY WHERE, and thieves abound. The walls are so thin, that neighbors several floors to the right/left and above/below you can be heard. Conversations are easily heard through walls, as is hearing your neighbors urinating in their toilets. I've found several drug needles on the ground with little plastic bags of residual evidence nearby. Empty liquor bottles litter the grounds every week. If you don't mind neighbors who are rude, inconsiderate, volatile, hostile, and filthy, then this is the place for you. Maryland Management needs to step up their game and get this place under control.
I used to live there back in the mid 90's and from what they look like, they are way overpriced. They should be between $600 & $800 for a one bedroom. The 2 and 3 bedroom are wayyyyy overpriced also.
Absolutely the worst experience of my life... Crooks, thieves, and liars make up the front office of this complex. We came to see our apartment a week or so before we moved in, and decided that we wanted to go with them. My wife signed the lease, and when we arrived the next week there were holes in our walls, mold on our baseboards, the dishwasher was backed up, the garbage disposal had broke, there was a problem with the laundry hookups, all of which were fine the week before. On top of all of that we were supposed to get a free months rent with our move in, and they told us nothing was due in July. We got a letter from the sheriff on July 15th saying that we had not paid our rent, and this was a warning. Come to find out they lied about how the free months rent would work, and we ended up having to pay 400 extra dollars out of pocket for late fees, because one of the office girls told us differently than how they actually operate. No phone call or nothing to say your rent isn't in, and they just let interest build up until the sheriff contacted us. We had no idea! Can hear neighbors talking through walls easily, broken glass in the parking lots, and constant problems with the structure/plumbing of our apartment. Absolute garbage of a complex! DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! *One positive note is that the residents here are nice.
