My brother and his girlfriend are moving out as we speak. They will bully you. Make sure to read everything thoroughly. We asked the front ladies questions and they had no idea what was going on! We know it isn't their job but it is assumed that they will at least have some knowledge about the place. Not only that but when Valerie was called she refused to answer because it was her "day off". Cockroaches everywhere. They were blamed for mold and a leaking toilet. Now we have to wait until Monday to speak to Valerie because she refused to speak to us over the phone. Hate it. I wish there was a zero because this complex deserves it!
UPDATE I moved out after having to deal with the inconvenience of a member of the staff living downstairs from me and decided it was time to bigger better things. PAY ATTENTION TO THE FINE PRINT. This is where they try to mess you up when you move out. DON'T DO AUTOPAY FOR YOUR RENT. They will take until they can't take anymore then charge you for it. I gave my 60 day notice and paid all fees before I moved out. I handed in my keys on Monday 5/4/15 but I told them I have not done my walk through yet and I'm not comfortable handing them in until then. Marla told me that if I don't hand in my keys then I will be charged rent for each day I have them. I spoke with Valerie who said, and I quote, "The maintenance man isn't here to do the walkthrough, he will be here on Wednesday and I will have him do it and I will give you a call if there is anything that needs to be addressed and give you the chance to fix it." If you're reading that and saying that's BS, you would be correct. I never received a call back from anyone on staff. Next thing I know, R2 is coming after me for $416 in charges one of them being con service which had been already deducted from my account because I had auto payment with them, one being to replace the carpet claiming they credited my lease obligated professional carpet clean, Funny thing is I don't see that credit on my ledger, and a chargeback fee because they decided to automatically take the full rent amount out of my bank account when I didn't live there anymore rather than taking out the pro rated amount. R2's letter says that Arroyo Vista should have already contacted you to settle this debt before it went to them.....it didn't. Blake with R2 told me "I'm not too familiar with the account so you should contact the financial manager there and speak to them" I called and ask to speak to Nubia or Valerie, get put on hold for a few minutes, Marla tells me "Nubia is a bit busy right now, but she told me to tell you a payment we received bounced" which was the rent that I wasn't obligated to pay SINCE I NO LONGER LIVED THERE, and after back and forth arguing I hear Valerie in the background coaching Marla on what to say. So Marla says,"Once they (R2) have it, it's out of our hands, call them again." Myself and another I know have been dealing with suspicious charges when they moved out and ended up in collections. I lived there for 2.5 years, was never late on my rent, and rarely had any issues, you would think they would have extended just a bit more courtesy on my move out and at least done my walk through. And the amount they had been taking from me every month was more than the rent and fees listed on my lease. I was charged about $10 more every month for 2 years. I fully intend on fighting this tooth and nail and expect to receive credit where credit is due. I'm always willing to pay what I owe, but I will not be taken advantage of. Make sure you get every little thing they tell you in writing or I promise you, you will regret it. Pay very close attention to your charges every month and be ready to go through the ringer when you move out. Also be careful in the neighborhood, my car was stolen and so was my neighbor's from right in front of our homes. So while I was living there I didn't have many problems until the end, the move out really showed what kind of company they are.
I have been here for about 2 years.. office staff very cool, Valerie the manager is great and the girls at the office nice too!!! maintenance they fix everything almost same day, family and kids friendly, my kids have bunch of friends and play with them, the only thing is cockroaches... I have report it at least 3 times between the 2 apartments I had been(moved from a 2bed to a 3bed) but they keep coming back, I don't know if the chemical they use is not effective or what, I keep my apt. clean but that doesn't helps they keep coming back.
They lie to you about how much the rent is and FALSE ADVERTISEMENT on there website too. They won't tell you about paying rental insurance or parking fees, Until you are moved in and have signed the contract, You have to pay every month $12 for rental insurance and another $12 for a dam parking spot ever month The property manager is probably the one keeping those $12 every month,
Awful, I hated that place the management was horrible and always tried to hit me with these stupid notices because the people behind me had an issue with my at the time boyfriend and anytime I went to them with a complaint nothing happened even ended up having to get restraining orders on the at the time crazy neighbor , and the guy above me always ALWAYS smoking pot my.apartment reeked of it but the management did absolutely nothing about it and Idk how many times the cops were upstairs at that dudes house cause they had guns and we're always arguing loudly on the patio about shooting each other and whatever it was annoying worst apartment by far that I've ever lived in I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
