As soon as my years lease was up I moved. I was so incredibly dissatisfied with the living conditions (insect infestation, poor insulation, out dated poorly maintained etc...)and high rent. The management failed to show up at my pre-move out inspection. I called to reschedule & they declined to show up. After I moved out of state I received an invoice to replace the carpet in the whole apartment. The carpet was in excellent condition except a small fray next to the doorway. It would have cost me more to go back to Marylsnd and get a lawyer to fight the bill than to pay it. I had worked very hard to restore my credit after a messy divorce and did not want the negative credit. I have read so many complaints from former tenants about Managements unethical practices. Do not move here!
Saying bad is also a compliment for them. After singing the lease You are dead to them. Trust me! Or check by yourself. One month free is a scam!! If you need help, will never get any proper help. you can call, email, or see them in person in the office. All the girls in the office are just useless! Very unsafe, and bad environment. Main security door doesn't lock , complained about it but no luck! Water clogs in the bathroom, tap doesn't work properly even after fixing. You can burn yourself while taking a shower, or get frizz in cold water flow in a sudden . something is wrong with most of the electric points. And BUGS comes in the apartment! Have no idea from where... Sick of them, waiting crazily to move out.
Moved to Harpers Forest a few months ago. If I could do it all over again I would certainly choose elsewhere. We were pretty desperate as we were relocating from out of state due to work. To start, the whole application process was extremely stressful. We were dealing with Mecca at first. Was told she would be in contact with us the next day. Sent her the information she needed to get us in the night before only to call, the next day right before closing after not hearing from her, to find out she was on vacation for about a week. It would've been nice to know that prior instead of us waiting to hear from her. Then spoke with Michelle and Tina(manager), who were trying to help us get moved in, while having problems with their credit department. We wanted a 2bed instead of a 1bed as I was 7 mons pregnant and we needed that extra space but in the end we didn't qualify for it after being told by Mecca it would be no problem. We opted for the one bedroom, as we were desperate. Whitney had us sign and took us to the apartment. There was an issue with one of the doors that she was supposed to have maintenance come and fix but I ended up having to call and put in a request as it was not followed through. The way the apartments are set up you can't hear when someone is at the door so there would be times when I was in the bedroom or the shower, home alone, and would hear someone out in the living room or the hallway. They should give a heads up when maintenance\pest control are going come. Luckily I keep my bedroom door locked because one of them almost burst into the bedroom. The apartment floors are horrible. You can literally hear everything, even just someone walking from one room to another. I assume the people above me moved out as maintenance was up there constantly banging, waking up me and my newborn. It would have been nice to been told this prior to being woken up; I could have easily went and napped at my sisters place. This happened for a few days and lasted hours. The first few weeks we came across a few daddy long legs and some other spiders. The daddy long legs kind of blend in with the carpet. Pest control came and sprayed around and I haven't seen any since but there was a couple small spiders. Now for past month we've had bees getting into the apartment. At first we thought they were coming from the windows but they were checked and closed tight. We found out they were coming from the vents after running the heat so we haven't been able to use our heat. We have one small heater and we have to take from room to room. Now we're sick with a cold. Pest control was called but they continue to tell us they can't do anything as they don't know where they're coming from. The vents!! Went to speak with Tina(manager) and was just repeated that they came twice and check the building and they didn't see any hive or anything. Any of the ones that were flying around was killed and placed in ziploc that was shown to pest control but they didn't see any when they came. I guess I am supposed to leave them flying around my newborn until pest control is available to come out again which they only come once a week so be sure you have no serious request the middle of week. Was told by Tina(manager) that maintenance would come out again. Maintenance came and sprayed some "non toxic" spray into the vents and that did not last long. Pest control came again days after maintenance and sprayed around. Today I wake up and there's 3 bees in the bathroom, about 6 accumulated in the hallway light and still no real solution. Pest control claims that he couldn't spray into the vents because he didn't want to get the other residents sick. All in all we've been dealing with bees over a month now and we're the only ones thats been having this problem. You'd think they'd be able to move us to another apartment but Tina(manager) shot that down claiming they're "taking care of it". Which it should've been taken care of the first time the request was put in not over a month later. Review will be updated as needed.
Find somewhere else The worst apartment ever. The girls who work there are lying all the time. their apartments are bad.
