View 5 stars. I love the view from my loft, well worth the extra few dollars a month. The parking garage was a key deciding factor for me, and helped influence my decision. There are a few minor eye sores which are to be expected. Maintenance 1 Star. Very delayed responses, as well as multiple times I've had the work order marked complete without maintenance stepping in the apartment once. If you keep bugging them, it will get taken care of in a timely manner. I had a roof leak back on May 9th with the heavy rain, so i submitted a work order. A few days later, maintenance came out and cut away part of my ceiling to expose black mold and told me they would let it dry out, and sent someone on the roof to patch a hole. a few days later it rained again and more leaked again so yet again i called them out. Coming up on the two month mark, about ten days away (currently June 30th), I still have a hole in my bathroom ceiling, and am tired of the mess left by maintenance, as well the water on my bathroom floor. I feel robbed paying for such an eyesore, as well as getting to clean up the mess every time maintenance comes through or a decent rain comes through. At one point i was going up weekly asking when it would be repaired, and was told "tomorrow" every time, with no sign of repairs the next day. when speaking to the apartment manager, I was told to not "come in and throw a fit" when i was stopping by to ask about my repairs. I have had a few friends that have stopped by to get information on the apartments, that have been turned off by the attitude of some of the leasing staff. I hate to review such a low rating, but sitting in the apartment knowing its been nearly two months with a hole in my bathroom ceiling has hindered my views on the complex. Upon moving into the apartment on my move in date, the apartment had not been cleaned and the carpet was covered in lint and dirt. I will happily reconsider my rating when my maintenance issues are fixed.
The truth plz read, hope it helps someone ... i am goin to sum up my horribly horrific experience at Vista Shadow Mountain apartments word of mouth is everything. I never expected an apt to be perfect im realistic but bare with me n you will understand sry for typos n such. when i lived at vista day one issues huge water hearter in very small closet the manager at the time handled it i was Slightly pleased although i didnt have electric for a couple of days due to the apt shutting it off from last person.month later pipes heater problems.... next one pipes freeze N bust even though i let water drip.... huge problem. Next heater problems n the renters insurance they make u have paid 300 for damages to my personal items estimated amount of damage 1700. my deductible 500. Then i fell on hard times my electric had to get cut off n had to stay with a friend but since my job was right up the street dillards at woodland hill mall ( good place) i came home once b4 work ,on my lunch and after work i left my babies... My pets at home moofusa and simba dog n cat my pet friendly apartment. MOofusa would bark when i left as he always did when i left. I guess my neighbor told the office my dog kept barking. Little did they kno he barked when i left but instead of messaging me calling me or anything they came n my home n took my dog had the pound come get him sayin in a letter after they took him he was unsafe although i paid a pet deposit moofusa couldnt come back. (He barked when i left everyone he did not bitepeople)cannot even describe this feeling of my baby being ripped away from me, I cried all the way to the pound all the way until they opened all the way until I saw him I was heartbroken and when he saw heard me he started barking n whining for me i couldn't do anything at the time i just got on my knees n cried n told him " mommies sorry baby, mommies so sorry"the guy at the office at the pound saw how devastated n daught I was over my dog being at the pound and told me to take my baby home without a fee it was okay and that he could tell that I loved so much and he let moofusa out..I was in a hard life situation that everybody could be in with money I had to try to find a place for him found a foster family for a while n begin a foster is like fostering a child and n all of it i lost my baby. I had moofusa since he was 6weeks i nursed him to health n even writing this my heart is broken n tears come to my eyes n i have no idea where my baby moofusa is he was 3yrs n i think of him all the time. People that knew my baby where upset so upset n tried to help me find him(the sweetest dog ever). Fyi i paid 635 not worth it i now pay 419 @ a different place n it not ghetto not even one bug vista has ants n they faked begin nice it was so weird. all n all i Would NOT recommend Vista run run very far away. HELL COULD BE PRETTY OUTSIDE BEFORE U BURN N IT. They are so proud of the remodeling but I COULDN'T CARELESS INCOMPARISON VISTA IS POORLY OPERATED N MANAGED. they all are despicable in my opinion. And really the remodeling isn't all that the foundation of the property was placed in like 1950. i should have googled it way b4 hand. No to mention anyone the turn over rate at the office is so high alway a new person.
still waiting on my oven to be fixed... its been a week since we requested a work order. will give more stars once its taken care of.
I called 3 days ago and left a message and nobody has still returned my call. We decided to go in after work today to be told they didn't show apartments after 5. I could tell by the response of all 3 people sitting there it would not have mattered what time it was nobody was interested in showing apartments. This lead me to read the reviews and thank God I did because the words I found in other reviews were mice, roaches, cars being broken in, rude staff, gun shots, lack of maintenance. Management if you want to rent apartments change your staff and get some go getters with good attitudes. People renting apartments pays their salaries so they should be eager to get tenants and from your reviews it is going to be harder to get them and it is very obvious why!!!! Thanks Google and you 3 people in the office for saving me the bad experience!!! Celia- Thank you for your response. I will be coming back to see your apartments this weekend. I do like the variety of floor plans and the location. I will update my entire review after my experience this weekend. I would love to actually be greeted and have your staff show interest in helping me. Hopefully this time will be much better- Google I will let you all know!!!
I like how the owner likes to comment to the people with good reviews, but says nothing to the ones with bad reviews. Your welcome for this review too owner. A picture may be worth a thousand words. But most peoples reviews are worth more than a thousand words, and your no response to the complaints is all the review I need. I will not be moving in and I have several friends that was interested in your complex until I pointed this out. Needless to say but I will anyways, me and others will be looking elsewhere.
