I loved living here at first. However, about two months or so ago we went through a management change. Now everything is pretty bad. The office randomly closes down whenever they get too busy, we have had a terrible water leak that is damaging our walls and carpet that has yet to be looked at (despite the three calls to the office). We have never been late on rent and they have been trying to charge us a late fee for two months. We have called and gone up in person to talk to the office. Every time we do that we are not allowed to speak with "Tina" (who is apparently in charge of late fees). We get pushed off to someone else who tells us she will call us in a few days. We never receive a call or email and the fee keeps getting added on to our rent. This complex will not call you back EVER. If you want to solve a problem within your apartment, good luck. Until the management is changed I do not recommend moving here.
This complex needs to get it together! The new management is ok. I have place the same work order 8 times and I have recorded the calls to prove them that I have made that many calls! Every time I call they said they will send someone to work on it and they never show up. I have had this maintenance issue for the past 2 months. Also, they are now only holding your delivered packages for 48 hours, but they do not open early enough to stop by before you head to work and they close before you are able to make it there from work.
Horrible horrible DO NOT LEASE HERE . they are bad about everything I've been living here since July and I've had a leak and have been to the office so many times I've called all they come and do is look at it and say they will be back and they never come back.one of my cabnits is messed up and guy came tore it off and said he would be back its been nearly 3 weeks and yet he has not came back other guy came to take a look at it and said he would be back and neither did he come back IAM NEAR TO THE POINT WERE IAM ABOUT TO BRAKE MY LEASE ! That's how bad it is living here.I pay 663 for a one bedroom. And it is complete mess. I had fleas at one point that got fixed right away. Asst manager is rude . PLEASE WHATEVER YOU DO DONT LEASE HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT . I wish I had read reviews before moving in.
*******UPDATE: New water leak sprung up, and the staff and ownership has done a wonderful job of taking care of me. Edgar and Clint in the main office have handled everything very professionally. I recently found out that Vista has been taken over by new ownership and has had the burden of taking over everything the previous owners have slacked on. i have HIGH hopes for the new ownership and look forward to seeing the new owners pick up the slack that the previous owners left. I would definitely give the new ownership a chance and bear with them as they transition into running full force.****** View 5 stars. I love the view from my loft, well worth the extra few dollars a month. The parking garage was a key deciding factor for me, and helped influence my decision. There are a few minor eye sores which are to be expected. Maintenance 1 Star. Very delayed responses, as well as multiple times I've had the work order marked complete without maintenance stepping in the apartment once. If you keep bugging them, it will get taken care of in a timely manner. I had a roof leak back on May 9th with the heavy rain, so i submitted a work order. A few days later, maintenance came out and cut away part of my ceiling to expose black mold and told me they would let it dry out, and sent someone on the roof to patch a hole. a few days later it rained again and more leaked again so yet again i called them out. Coming up on the two month mark, about ten days away (currently June 30th), I still have a hole in my bathroom ceiling, and am tired of the mess left by maintenance, as well the water on my bathroom floor. I feel robbed paying for such an eyesore, as well as getting to clean up the mess every time maintenance comes through or a decent rain comes through. At one point i was going up weekly asking when it would be repaired, and was told "tomorrow" every time, with no sign of repairs the next day. when speaking to the apartment manager, I was told to not "come in and throw a fit" when i was stopping by to ask about my repairs. I have had a few friends that have stopped by to get information on the apartments, that have been turned off by the attitude of some of the leasing staff. I hate to review such a low rating, but sitting in the apartment knowing its been nearly two months with a hole in my bathroom ceiling has hindered my views on the complex. Upon moving into the apartment on my move in date, the apartment had not been cleaned and the carpet was covered in lint and dirt. I will happily reconsider my rating when my maintenance issues are fixed.
I have lived here since the end of January. My lease is up September/October and I cannot wait. If I could get out of here early, I would. I wish there was a way to. I've lived in several different apartment complexes (even in New York City, mind you) and NEVER had so many bug problems in my life. I keep everything incredibly clean: trash taken out, dishes cleaned, rooms dusted and floors vacuumed, yet I have still seen roaches, tons of spiders (one of which was a brown recluse), and several other bizarre bugs that I couldn't identify. The neighbors smoke weed, have guests over that have sexually harassed me (not kidding) and leave trash all over the stairs and the parking lot, and are either always fighting or watching TV so loudly that I can hear it late at night when I'm trying to sleep. The apartment smelled horribly of smoke when we first moved in. The office gave me an odor bomb, but it didn't help. The walls are dirty from previous tenants, the cabinets are rickety and unstable, and there are stains and spots everywhere. The office has been generally helpful any time I call, but I think they should do something about the noise, the weed smoking, the poor state of the apartments, and the overall safety. I wish I could get my money back or have known ahead of time to not sign a lease. It would be great if management would do something to rectify these problems.
