If I could give Sloan's Lake Apartments 0 stars, I would!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I absolutely agree with other reviews stating that the "management" team was always extremely rude. They will give you partial information and when you go to clarify, they will speak to you like you are a 5 year old and they have a PhD or something. If you do rent here, you should NOT count on getting a security deposit back. They basically have policies in place that ensure that they will not have to lift a finger to clean the apartment for the next person - YOU do ALL of that including having to replace all light bulbs, replace all drip pans, use a Cleanser/Degreaser in the oven that needs to sit for 24 hours, and professionally clean the carpets. When we moved in, we were told there were work orders already placed to fix a few thing; these were never fixed so don't fall for that one. Also, be prepared to have to run your dryer 3 times to actually dry a load of laundry. Overall, I would say that the management team needs a huge attitude adjustment. I work with many clients and understand how to interact with people and treat people as I would like to be treated. This place DOES NOT practice this in the least - when you are paying $1200 + to live in a tiny 1 bedroom, you at least expect to be treated with respect. GO ELSEWHERE!!!
Former Resident Staff: The worst people I've ever seen run a complex. Melissa and Chandra were rude, snide, and simply terrible at their jobs. Unprofessionally threatening other residents every other time I had to go into the office. Maintenance burned out 4 of my personal programmable thermostats and tried to blame ME for their incompetence. I couldn't get a maintenance person to come to my apartment for the last 6 months after I took proof to their boss. Rent: increase was obscene and 2x what other similar complexes in the area offered. Cannot recommend enough to STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. Amenities: Business center was 2 windows XP machines, pools was tiny and generally filthy. Hot tub is outdoors and was broken multiple months. Overall: Nice looking, quiet complex would be just fine if not for the lazy madmen running it.
Both ladies (Mellisa and Shonda?) in the front office are RUDE and unprofessional. Every time I went in there, they acted as if it was a chore and a waste of their time when it is in fact their JOB to help the residents. HORRIBLE.
Most shady run complex in the area, You treat the residents like complete crap. The woman in the leasing office is a waste of life and rude. they go out of their way to Harass us as much a possible. Do not fall for the fake kindness if you look at this place, don't move in!
Worst apartments I have ever lived in! I have lived in several apartments over the years and never been treated as poorly as I was here. Management is horrible! And once you move in -- the apartments fall apart as well. The main office seemed to always be on my case for something - particularly things I did not do. I lived next to the leasing office and, for reasons unknown to me, upset the lady in the leasing office, so every problem they faced - she assumed was me. We were accused of causing problems at a specific time during the day and when we told her we were out and brought time stamped receipts, she refused to even look at them and told us she could accuse us of whatever she wanted. Left multiple rude messages on my phone about things I had NO involvement in, claimed I did not tell her about a pet and tried to double charge me, after I sent an email 2 days before telling her I had a new pet and asking for details as to how to go about it, got upset that my boyfriend was parking at the complex, and claimed a package that she signed as delivered to her "never made it to the office" until she found out I was looking into it. She was consistently rude and her own staff upon move out even mentioned that she is the main reason people leave this complex. Even moving out was a pain because we had to deal with her. I have never been so happy to leave a place! Every time we pass by it now, I celebrate that we are out. I don't care how pretty they look, don't move in. It will be the most miserable year of your life.
