I've been living here since Aug of 2013 when I first moved in I loved it...for about a day after that it all started going down hill, First it was my neighbors the ones who live in the apartment above me. They were having parties till 5:00am in the morning with the music very loud screaming yelling, wrestling...smoking pot. I have two children under the age of 5, I don not want them near this type of environment, not just that i don't need to have my children being afraid of going to sleep because all the scary noises coming from the neighbors!. I called the police for noise complaints because the office and security don't do anything about it, they can care less! Second, The mice in my apartment, there was a hole in the wall by where the washer and dryer are and mice kept getting in to my apartment, my husband and i called the office and asked if they could get this taken care of, well the office said they were going to get someone out to see the apartment, we asked to please be cautious of where they put mice traps because of our children well, we still up to this day see mice running around once in a while and the mice traps were all in plain view. Third the parking!!! its horrible if you don't have a garage then your screwed there is barely any parking we got our car broken into and got our car towed because the parking permit was not visible even if i showed them where the permit was i still had to pay 300 dollars to get my car, and management didn't care. The pool is always breaking down and when it does no pool for 2-3 weeks. EVERY month we were charged a bit more, now we are at 80 dollars more than what we first started off to. There's always fees for everything its horrible i would not recommend it.
We have been here 6 months.....we had a few issues when we first got here regarding the extra garage, and we had a nasty backup in the kitchen sink on Christmas......but that was all taken care of expeditiously. Most of all, we moved here for the area, which is stellar. But so far, the apartment has been great for us, anyone that moves into an apartment setting that does not expect to have neighbor noise needs to put their head back up their butt...we have handled a few issues regarding that ourselves. Overall, we have had a pleasant experience here.....the gym has been nice, if outdated, but certainly has what the average person looking to try to stay healthy needs, no odors or *piss* smells like some other reviewers......and believe me, I have a seriously sensitive sense of smell! It's like many rec centers.....I do however wish that the dog poop baskets were not so close to the buildings, or located where they will not be a nuisance to those of us who don't have dogs, but at least in our little corner of the Parc Belmar world, most of the dog owners do clean up after their critters. I like it here, it's not perfect, but the rent is fair, I love having a garage, and we feel comfortable with our surroundings.
I'm being conned out of $1,700 dollars because I didn't give 60-day notice that I was going to leave. When would I have had to give that notice? *10 DAYS AFTER I MOVED IN* We were never reminded, and neither my wife or I recall it being on the contract because we never got a copy of it. AVOID THIS PLACE. This is a scam. And their parking situation is a disaster. It's overcrowded. Don't ever think of giving up your spot at night, you'll be walking when you get back.
At first it looks appealing but after moving there I regret my decision. Our apartment was falling a part cabinets, closet doors, leaking fridge, etc...We had multiple complaints about our dogs which was joke. The gym is outdated worn down and avg at est, the gym bathrooms kinda smell as well...And for the amount you pay for rent you would think they would take better care of things.
Most of the employees are nice, but the manager is rude. She speaks in a rather condescending tone. Towed vehicle for no apparent reason, also they would uncover license plate when snow was covering it just because they wanted to make sure it wasn't outdated, I've also caught them looking in the windows. If I put in an "order" to get something fixed within apartment, it would take them 2 weeks, even when I just wanted them to look into why my hot water heater wasn't putting out enough hot water. Also, it took them a week when I had a leak under my sink, even though when I moved in here, they said they had maintenance workers that work around the clock that would come if an emergency (like a leak) happened. Now just to clarify, I am a good tenant, never made any complains or had any filed about me, I was late with my rent 1 time, because I couldn't get it in, and they forgave the late fee (which is $75 EACH DAY) because it was the first time. Getting out of my lease early, because I need out, and I have to pay the price of another month here. Very disappointed with my 7 month stay.
