The location cant be beat and the apartment itself looks amazing, but it was very poorly manufactured. The fire alarms goes off in the middle of the night, often multiple times in a row, for no apparent reason. You might go a month or two without this disturbance but then it will happen a few times in a row. It comes in waves. One of my neighbors who owns his unit said it used to be worse and happen every other week but it has subsided a bit. It still happens enough that most people in the complex do not go outside anymore during an alarm. The lights are also a constant issue. My cousin is an electrician and when he visited he explained the units they have installed, although they look cool, were connected properly so you often have outages. It is now the norm to accept the fact random lights will not turn on and will often keep your apartment dark. The dryer, microwave, and fridge have all been problematic. I will give credit to the management office, once I asked for some type of reimbursement for the inconvenience, they replaced the entire fridge. They damaged the floor in doing so and locked themselves out so they had to crowbar my front door open (no lie), but they took care of it. They would not replace the microwave which does not work half the time because they said they could not find a replacement. I also have to monitor the pipes because if we get heavy rain the maintenance room will flood (which happened before). Management was great and got a team out to help clean it up fairly quickly. I was told by one of the crew members the pipes were never configured properly. This could also lead to the issue with the sink because the disposal will spit up on to the other side of the sink shooting disgusting food particles everywhere. So be careful! If it rains I was told that I should not run the dishwasher or washing machine, otherwise the maintenance room will almost assuredly flood. It is extremely convenient being located across the Whole Foods and in the same building as the MAC gym, but there is no pool, no workout area, and no front desk so you are paying TOP dollar without most of the luxuries that typically come with such a price tag. Having your parking garage (for an additional $150 a month) attached to the unit is a nice bonus. If you live on the 3rd floor though the smell of the trash can be overwhelming at times. Location location location but not sure if it is worth the money.
