I'm renting a 1 bed room apartment. I unfortunately was unable to see the unit before signing the lease, and didn't realize that 1. I had no balcony and I am directly above the dumpsters and 2. my unit is directly under the laundry room. The unit itself is very spacious and would be good except for point 2. When the washing machines reach their spin cycles they create a very loud and interrupting banging noise and shake my apartment. The laundry room is open 24 hours and with many people living in this building I am often interrupted at any hour of the day. The other problem concerning the laundry room is that I have had to submit maintenance requests 5 times for water damage from leaks into my bedroom from the laundry room above me. The office staff does not respond to my e-mails through their dashboard online. The maintenance staff fixes the problems, but not necessarily that quickly and rarely do they communicate anything about the process. In addition, the drywall in my unit has never been replaced during this maintenance, merely the water damage is painted over. The last time I was unable to sleep in my room for multiple nights due to the awful odor the wet drywall caused. Rent is far too expensive for the level of service offered. They are very friendly and will communicate up until you are moved in, after that point I can't say the same. The rent is far too expensive to deal with the issues that come with this place.
STAY AWAY FROM HERE. We lived in this apartment complex from July 2015 to Jan 2016. Our lease originally will end at August, 2016. However due to the sudden and unexpected job change, we need to move to Austin, Texas in Jan, 2016. We gave a leaving notice(leaving date is Jan 15th) to the leasing office and meanwhile we were trying to find people to sublease our apartment till the end of lease. We actually found one who was willing to take our apartment in December. But when we talked to leasing office, EVELYN told us that someone was already approved for the application of our apartment. And they were scheduled to move in at Jan 22th, 2016. She also told us because new people will move in right after we leave the apartment, we won't need to pay the two-month termination fee and only need to pay the extra rent from 15th to 22th. Based on her information, we turned down the people who want to take our apartment. Afterwards we went to leasing office three times to confirm that the new people still want to move in Jan 22th, 2016. We actually left the apartment even earlier than the notice date on Jan 9th and left the keys in the drop-box. On Jan 8th my wife told EVELYN in person that we will drop the key in the morning Jan 9th. Since we left, we didn't heard a word from them. However when I contacted with them on Jan 20th, EVELYN told me that they didn't get our keys and therefore hasn't send people to check the apartment and do the cleaning work. I asked her why she doesn't contact with us if they didn't find the keys after the scheduled leaving date Jan 15th. She told me that she didn't contact me because many people stay longer than their notice leaving date. This is a ridiculous excuse. On Jan 21th, she send maintenance people to check the apartment and told me that they will need 10 days to clean the apartment. If this is the case, then the new people can only move in at beginning of February and we need to pay 10 extras days of rent. Because of the misinformation she gave us and the fact she didn't contact with us about the keys even though she knew our scheduled leaving date is Jan 15th, we need to pay at least extra 10 days of rent. We contacted her again on Jan 29th, this time EVELYN told my wife to call back on the second week of Feb and told her to call the leasing office about any issues regarding when the new people will move-in. Because we need to cover the rent up till the date the new people actually move in, EVELYN has kept giving us wrong and misleading information and hence cost us extra several hundred dollars. Right now we don't really trust her word, and who knows how much we need to pay in the end. If you want the management office to be honest and helpful, this is definitely not the place.
This is in response to people who are reviewing this establishment and giving it poor reviews purely on the basis that you can not "fly an American flag" here. You people who live here or previously lived here need to read you lease agreements more closely. It will tell you how you can NOT have anything draped, hung or sticking out past the edge of your balcony. Even if that wasn't the case, there are plenty of things wrong with this apartment complex. If your sole reason to boycott this complex is because they wont let you hang a flag, you need to grow up. I sincerely hope hanging a piece of material made in China isn't the ONLY way you can possibly conceive as a way to show your patriotism. Or perhaps it's just because its the easiest, most commercial and less inconvenient way to be patriotic these days.
I have been living at Seven Springs since 9/2014. Since then I haven't had any major problems at all. The staff is very responsive and friendly and they always respond right away to any issues I have. I have never seen any MICE at all in my unit (thank God). I have requested extermination in my kitchen several times as that's the only place I tend to see occasional bugs.. I love the staff..I've never experienced anyone being rude to me..Tara, George, Evelyn, Paula, Megan..all of them have been very helpful to me and professional. Even when I moved in George and Paula made it a very easy process. My rent payments are submitted online and I've never had any issues with them not receiving my payment which is great. My only issue is the elevators. There are 3 and they consistently break down. There was a time recently when all 3 elevators were down and I was stuck in my apartment..due to having asthma I could not walk up 10 flights of stairs, that was very frustrating but they fixed it. The water is generally off quite often while they are fixing things but they try to schedule it during work hours when most people are not home so I've never been affected by that. Look, no place is going to be 100% perfect but they strive to do their best. It's an extremely convenient location..there's a store on the property, a grocery store within walking distance, and several other stores. I've never had any issues with my car being broken into. I've never see anyone hanging out in the hallways. Any service request I place is taken care of within 1 to 2 business days. I enjoy living at seven springs..they do a pretty good job at taking care of their residents and making sure the complex looks nice! In addition to that, the onsite daycare is wonderful and residents get a discounted rate! I work in property management so I know it's impossible to please everyone someone will always have an issue but the customer service I have experienced from the staff has always been pleasant.
This place is horrible! Don't move here. I've been waiting for about 7 months to receive my deposit back, no response from them. When I call them they do not transfer me to the leasing office, so I can not talk to them. I lived there for about 1.5 year. Once there was a snake in my apartment. When I told the management office about it, they just replied "It happens."
