I absolutely love the community & the leasing staff is amazing! I'm glad I made the choice to move here. The staff and residents take pride in its property. The staff also really cares about their residents. I have never had any issues living here. There is a good mix of singles and family's and I always felt secure. Maintenance response is quick and their work is well done. We enjoy the pool area and fitness center. The grounds are well taken care of.
As newlyweds, my husband I were looking for our first apartment together and we both immediately loved the townhouse style apartments of Avalon Morrison Park. The leasing process was so quick, compared to living in San Francisco where its hard to even lease a single room. Rob and the rest of the staff are always helpful. They even came out to hold the gate open for me when I was moving stuff in by myself, what gentlemen! We have only been here a month, but have noticed so many benefits to where we live--The gym, pool, and barbecue areas are awesome. The locations is perfect for any shopping or transportation we need and I feel safe and comfortable in the neighborhood. It amazes me how quiet it is here!! Both in the apartments and in the common areas outside. I look forward to meeting my neighbors and enjoying our community together!
Love living at Morrison Park! Starting with the leasing office staff to the onsite maintenance staff, everyone is very welcoming and quick to respond to any question or request you may have. The outdoor and indoor amenities are well maintained and enjoyed by many friendly residents. Overall a great place to call home :-)
Avalon Morrison Park is a great place to live. My wife and I have been residents for over a year and have no real complaints. Probably the best part about the community is the staff, and this seems to hold true for all of Avalon's properties (we've looked at a couple others and are always treated well!). For instance, Miguel will see us walking up from his desk inside the "fishbowl" leasing office and have our packages ready. He knows our names, apartment number, and even personal details that we've talked to him about. The cool thing is that this isn't the case just for us (even though I can't imagine that we're *not* his favorite residents), he knows everyone. There have been a couple others who have joined the team recently and they explicitly mentioned trying to get to know everyone. This is just a really great touch, and makes dealing with any issues super simple! Some nitpicky things: the grills don't seem to be cleaned very often, trash is often overflowing at some of the public areas, and the pool heater seems to rarely be turned on (which was probably the most enticing amenity when we moved in). As for maintenance, the team is awesome. We haven't really had a lot of issues (probably because the unit is brand new), but when we have, they're very responsive. We even put in a couple of requests for community things (i.e. timer for grills being shut off at the wrong time) and it was resolved the next day (after reporting it late at night). The property itself is beautiful--lots of amenities, community happy hours, brand new gym, and cabanas by the pool. For San Jose, the location is great. It's close enough to walk to all of the downtown excitement (~1 mile to Santa Clara and First), but far enough that you're not in the middle of it all. The Alameda is becoming more built up, and best of all there's a brand new Whole Foods a 2 minute walk away (with a awesome bar!). In closing, one of the best perks about living at an Avalon community is that they will let you transfer your lease to another property, even before your lease is up (with no charge as long as it's over 50 miles). If you're looking for a place to live, definitely put this one on your list of considerations.
I was lucky enough to find out about Avalon Morrison Park after making the decision to leave City Gates Cupertino (formerly Archstone Cupertino), where my husband and I had lived for nearly four years. A close friend had just moved into a 2 bedroom unit within the complex, so we decided to check it out - and I am so thrilled we did. We were so impressed by the complex and the amenities that we signed our lease that day. Where else can I walk 1 block to the new Whole Foods, or be a few blocks from the bars and restaurants on the Alameda. Miguel and the rest of the Avalon Morrison Park team are amazing and go above and beyond to get to know every tenant and to make sure that everything about your new home is perfect. I have lived in a lot of communities in my time, but I can honestly say they are the best staff that I have ever worked with. The community is new, and feels more like an upscale hotel with the pool and cabanas, and a gym that is bigger and more updated than my old 24 Hour Fitness Super Sport, which allowed me to cancel that membership and save the monthly fee. Check it out for yourself, and I challenge you to find a nicer property or more professional management staff in the South Bay.
