It is one of the worst apartment complexes you could ever possibly imagine going to. It's infested with roaches, bed bugs, and mice. The hallways are almost always dirty from the occupants, despite maintenance efforts to clean them once a week. Good luck trying to have your AC, fridge, dishwasher, or any other house hold appliances fixed. It takes forever to get them to come to your home, and when they do come, the appliances are only fixed for a couple months. My fridge was broken for 75% of my 12 month lease. Also, it's common for the landlord to find some reason to up your rent when you've decided to leave. She'll keep your deposit by saying "Your apartment is infested, you've broken the appliances, you've damaged the walls and floors." But actually, it was like that when you got there. You just didn't know. she will enter your apartment, often unannounced, and come into your room while you're sleeping and invade your space. I've seen some disgusting things in my own apartment, my neighbor's, AND just in the general community between domestic violence, drug use, littering, unsupervised children, etc. It's a terrible community, filled with terrible neighbors, and run by a terrible faculty.
This place is horrid. U work and come home and pay to be eaten alive by bed bugs, roaches, the 17 people that live above me constantly flush the toilet and now I have a puddle of fecal water in my bathroom. Some kids broke my bedroom window, I have no smoke detectors, the stove in the apartment upstairs caved in and is coming through my ceiling. There is a pool but not operating. I asked rita (my landlord) if she can have an exterminator come Into my apartment and she suggested that I move. She also likes to visit frequently and when I'm not there she writes me notes in my personal journal by my bed. Smh I was half naked on one occasion she decided to pay me a visit. She screamed at me in front of my children because I told her about the bats that got into the building and we're known for biting. Do not move here.
I have now lived at Quartefield Crossing for a year and a half. I have not had any problems here, save morons pulling the fire alarm a couple of times. Cops and ambulences are generally a normal thing here there have been a couple of drug busts, and a couple of murder suspects arrested, if you set these things aside (these things can happen anywhere) it is not a bad place to live. It all depends on where you live within the complex, and who you interact with. If you keep to yourself, and pay your rent on time there are no problems and the staff will treat you with respect. I have NEVER had a problem with Ms. Rita, or any of the other staff, but maybe that's because I have only been late on my rent one time since being here. Pay your rent on time you wont get evicted, if people followed thier leases there would be much less problems here!
