Tony T.: Kukai is the new authentic Japanese ramen restaurant. It is amazingly delicious. Real Japanese ramen tends to be more salty than many people would be used to, so I'd suggest to ask for a less-salt variety on the first visit.

Tony T.: Very chill tea shop with a large selection of teas.

Tony T.: Seattle's Pike Place Market is getting ready for the holiday season with lights, decorations, and Christmas trees. Pike Place Market is the place to buy live Christmas trees.

Tony T.: Savrika Tea is a tea room with a variety of high quality teas and tea accessories. The concept is similar to Teavana, but is a locally owned independent store, instead of a Starbucks owned chain.

Tony T.: Bella Tesori is a stylish local store focusing on home decor, interior design, and funny signs throughout the store. The items seem pricy, but it is an inspiration from a visit anyway.

Tony T.: The futuristic architecture of Vancouver Public Library has been used in a number of sci-fi movies and tv shows, including Battlestar Galactica and Fringe.

Tony T.: Harbour Green Park is full of open green space and sea birds.

Tony T.: A single photo is simply not enough to describe this Gastown mural that spans the entire alley.

Tony T.: Harbor Steps are... steps, wide enough to double as a plaza. Public chairs, fountains, trees (decorated for holidays in this picture).

Tony T.: Delicious Chinese food. Mayan decor. Cute waitress uniforms that seem to change weekly.

Tony T.: I want to climb that tree. There are also two playgrounds for kids not tall enough to make it to the lowest branch. #treeclimbing

Tony T.: There's a walkway through the lake that gets you much more into the water than typical walks along some other beach.

Tony T.: This Starbucks is next to Amazon's open plaza. Great place to grab a latte and trying your luck at spotting Jeff Bezos.

Tony T.: Vivace makes amazing coffee. Sometimes it gets so busy on the weekends that they turn off wifi, so that students don't take up too many tables for too long; but it's a great place to hang out and enjoy a caffeinated beverage.
